Default Do we own our set top box?

We pay for installation and if its an HD box we pay for that to (I cant remember whether we pay for a SD box or not), so does that technically mean we own the et top box that we use to watch tv?

I had heard that someone disconnected their Airtel dth services and they were asked to give back the hardware equipment. If we discontinued our DTH services would the DTH provider take back the box, wiring and big dish which is installed?

it varies from DTH providers' like mine set top box is owned by me and if any problem happens my provider will get it done check but i am not sure that he will give us something in exchange or not if its fully exhausted.

That's something I never thought of if out set top box stops working would the dth provider replace it.......I suppose this all depends on whether you own the box or not......but even if you own it, it should be something that has to be repaired or replaced by the dth provider, don't you think?

Like Rishabh said its different from each DTH provider, so the best thing would be to find out from your DTH provider is you own your set top box.........im guessing that if you have paid for it then its yours.
