Default Would Airtel also come in IPTV field?

As you have seen that Airtel is one of the best service provider but i wanted to know that would they also come in IPTV field. I have not seen any news regarding this but do you think that it is possible that they would also get in this market.

To be honest I do not see a huge market for IPTV at the moment.

OK. What I meant was a company needs to invest a lot in a technology/product/service when it wants to introduce it. Naturally they would expect a healthy profit from it unless such a portfolio is meant more for advertising and establishing foothold in the market.

I would expect that Airtel will see that there is not much advantage of entering into IPTV segment. After all the PC and Broadband penetration is very low in India. BSNL has IPTV but I wonder how many subscribers.

So at this moment, if I was Sunil Mittal, I would see not much reason to launch IPTV. Perhaps in three years or so, maybe.

Well as of the investment .... I think that everything needs investment... and more over IPTV would be of a real profit thing one the broadband prices would come down and i am sure that it would happen very soon and then we would the next big thing which wouldbe known as IPTV.

I personally think that there is a long time for this to happen. I think it would be nice if we look at the thing we are getting at present not what we would have 5-7 years for now.

I do not think that people would be that much interested in getting up for IPTV that much soon. I am also sure that it would take some time.

As per me i would say that there is a lot of time for Airtel to come in the IPTV field as they would be first looking forward to take over the broadband market and after that they would look in this market.

looks like this is getting a big debate. Lets end this and wait for some time and see if Airtel would get in or not.
