Is it possible to switch between tata & Dish TV just by inserting the card of any of the service provider?

No. You will have to change the STB/VC. Only the dish (and maybe the LNB) will be useful.

You cannot switch between service providers. It woud be nice too get a new connection with some other service provider and use it as we do not have any switching facility till now.

I found that if you wish to stop DishTV subscription, you can surrender your equipment to DishTV and they will pay you a miserly Rs. 400/-.

You mean to say that of the box and the dish we could only get 400 rupees?
are they worth this much only?
