    Default Please help - urgent Dishtv not working

    Hi all,

    I am using Dishtv from last 1 year with Maxi package. I renewed my package on Nov 26th 08' using Online facility thru credit card, my Dishtv a/c shows payment done and connection active, but whenver I want to watch any channel let's say Zee News (#550) then after 5 sec it shows a blue screen with error message "Call Dishtv Customer care # 1-860-180-3474" and everything freeze's out. I contacted Customer care and they sent a tech. guy. He said that there is some probleme with my LNB and Receiver box, and then he replaced LNB and repaired receiver box but when he re-installed the box things are same. Then he told me that you have to put you recevier box ON for next 4-8 hrs then only it starts working.
    Please can someone help me to know what's going on here. His tech. guy is asking Rs.400 for STB repair, Rs.700 for LNB and antenna change and Rs.200 as service charge.

    I think you once again contact customer care and asked for the prices once again if this is the problem. because your connection is more then 1 year old so for any fault you have to pay for that. So please check with customer care again.

    Dear
    dish tv user, plz go for signal on all transponders strength & quality, if their low or no signals on home transponders 12688v27500 by 70% stregth & 75% quality,
    if low signals bellow 50% , you will suffred with call dish tv problem, plz call on 9890707281 for mor details

    Default Customer Care should help

    Hi Anand,
    I have also faced similar problems with Dishtv, where these so called 'dumb' tech guys made me replace the STB.. When I started shouting on the call center they gave it to the supervisor who made me to change some settings under menu - settings - conditional access -conax - here it should show the latest date like 01/12/2008 - 31/12/2008 - 01200000.(I dont know what diff it makes) he found that the date is older and upgraded it by restarting STB... and surprisingly fixed the problem. Try this.

    you need to upgrade your plan that means call custmer Care And tell Him I want to upgrade my plan then follow him steps>>>>>!!!!!! Thats all
