Thread: Problem with STAR channels

hello people

After being tormented by the local cable guys I finally decided to jump on the DTH bandwagon.After checking various forums,I decided to go in for Dish TV.The BIG tv & Tata Sky demos did not impress me at all...but dish seemed better.The only problem is that star movies & star world have too much pixelation problems sometimes.Have any of u also faced this problem?If yes,is there a solution for this? any suggestions would be welcome.

I face no such problems. It is possible that your dish is not aligned properly - but if that is the case then most (if not all) channels should suffer. You should recall the guy who did the installation and ask him why. Is the problem same in the neighbourhood with DishTV connections?

I dont know if I get star world on my tv but star movies works fine like all other channels and I dont see any noticable difference.

What size is your tele and is it tft, plasma or the one with picture tube?

It might be that there is a difference and as I dont have a very big screen can notice it and may be youve got a massive screen and thats how you are able to see the difference.

Any sources where we can find out about the broadcasted picture quality of all channels?

This might be the problem with with your alignment as i have not experienced any such problem in last couple of months and both the channels were working fine for me. and rightly said by admin that their is hardly any noticable difference in these channels and other channels.

My TV is a 21" CRT...

On 21" CRT, you should get excellent picture. Something wrong with installation. From the STB info panel (the blue information bar that is displayed for 5 seconds), check the signal strength when you switch to this channel. This info bar is also displayed when you press the OK button.
