I have seen in recent time that Movie on Demand service on dishtv is really rocking with the release of new movies on MOD service.

Like first they have Oye lucky, lucky oye, then jodha Akbar and now they are premierering

The president is coming -- which is a very new movie and this movie is available on dishtv MOD and also it still available on theatres also.

what are the charges of their service? for anything between rs.35-50, u can get new DVDs.

MOD charges are from Rs. 60/- to Rs. 75/-. Agree with panchabhut. I also said the same thing on another thread (probably in TataSky section) - buy DVDs instead from Rs. 45/- to Rs. 99/-. No headaches of ordering, payment confirmations, etc. And best of all watch them any time, all the time.

almost the same movies are being shown on tata sky movie on demand channels ... but the prices in such services are just too high ... not worth it ...

well buddy i haven't said DVD is not a good option, certainly you will get DVD of any movies on cheaper rates. But what i am saying here is dishtv is telecasting those new movies and good movies.

And also these services are useful for those who don't have access to DVD soon like in small towns and villages. where their is hardly any theatres and also DVD will reach their in late, so those people can enjoy these new movies on MOD services. and also the price not very high.

Ordering it expensive!
To order a movie of Rs.100/-, you Rs.200/- account balance minimun. wonder what dish tv does with this balance.

If you don't have DVD player, then Invest in one. its better alternative.
It just costs around 1k appox and you can watch all the latest movies and even ahem ones:P

these services may be useful to some ... but i never ever paid for such movies on DTH ... i am a tata sky subscriber for the last 2+ years ..

Earlier I too was sceptical about the MOD bit. But now as new movies appear on MOD, it makes sense to me. Instead of spending Rs 100 in a theatre per person, i would rather watch new movies like "oye lucky" etc.... at home. It is quiet a paisa vasool proposition for new movies as entire family can watch it together. Sometimes my friends come over as well. That is if you dont approve of watching pirated movies, which I don't!

The ad's on Dish TV are quite clear on the ordering procedure. You can order by SMS, or by calling the call center. You can pay by ITZ cash card or via CC on web site.

Another new movie rocks on dishtv Movie on demand channel "Billu". Good new for all dishtv subsribers and also a good news for all shahrukh Khan, Lara Dutta and Irfan Khan Fans.

Really a good movie to watch. MOD ROCKS ON DISHTV WITH LOT OF NE AND GOOD MOVIES.
