    Default Settop Box Problem

    I have a Zenega CD 1004is STB which have got damaged
    It's red light keep on blinking and also the connector in which we connect the Wire coming from the Dish have got damaged. Actually i smashed the STB out of window when it lost signal during Mumbai Indians Match due to rain

    My Box is 3 years old

    How much would a new box cost and will i have to just buy a box from the dealer and enter my VC into it and njoy dishtv
    Or i have to inform Dish TV that i got a new STB
    Will I have to change VC Card as i have read that VC will only work in the STB in which it was installed ie. they are binded together

    Which Settop Box are they providing now

    You will have to contact DishTV. They will provide you a new STB for Rs. 1500/-. I hope the VC is not damaged or it will need replacement and cost you another Rs. 400.

    The old VC card can work with the new STB - but DishTV will have to change the STB Id to VC No pairing.

    DishTV will provide the Zenega STB.

    Mumbai just needed 4 runs from 1 over and they coudn't make it

    Its better if you can call or mail to customer care and ask the same......or you can go to any dealer and ask what could be done....whether this can be replaced / repaired or there is any need for new one.

    Wouldn't it be better to get a new connection and that way you will get the box free, as Dish TV are giving their set top box free (if this offer is still on)

    That may not be a good choice (even if the offer is still on). Because you have to take a new connection and subscribe to a package again. The new package will be effective from that day.

    The old connection, if it has some balance amount left, will remain unused. I am not exactly sure what is the procedure for refund.
