essbebe, I could have uploaded the guide. But I was requesting Varad to do it ecause I wanted the author to decide whether he wants to do it or not. Perhaps he does not want to upload here.

    However, no issues.

ok all this is fantastic guys.. but can anyone tell me.. if i have one tata sky connection.. is ther any way to watch it on 2 tv sets individually? buying some few hardware things ok but dont tell me paying for extra line and all every month.. tht i checked out at the tata sky dealer shop.. all if i can do this it will prove me cheaper... i can kick off local cable n switch it to tata sky as i have 2 tv sets in my home.. i dint get tata sky as it will prove me costly for paying 2 connections money individual for 2 tv sets..
if anyone can do or if possible let me know.. thanks

This is a very good tutorial...even though I don't use a TV tuner card, I know a lot of people who do. Very helpful indeed...

You can Watch Tata Sky on Two(or even more) TV Sets from one connection without paying anything extra but you will be able to control channels only at one place(The TV set with the Tata Sky Box). Moreover, You cannnot watch different channels simultaneously on two TVs. You will have to watch the same channel.

This was the case if you dont pay anything extra.

This is only reason I am having two connections at my home - One Tata Sky & One Local Cable.

Varad I didnt exactly get your point here. Dish TV can be connected to Tv & PC simultaneously. Whats the big deal in it. Am I missing something? But the problem is that, the Channels can be controlled only at one place and both TV & PC will show the same channel.

We also watch TV in two different rooms at home. One Cable connection can solve the purpose but I just cannot resist Local Cable after getting used to Tata Sky. The local cable connection is mainly used in the other room. I have the provision of watching both Tata Sky and Local Cable on the TV tuner as i mentioned above but I rarely watch anything on Local Cable. Local Cable is sometimes useful for the following purposes:

    - Regional Channels.
    - During Rain or Cloudy Weather Tata Sky causes problems. an alternate connection comes in very handy in such times if something very important is on TV.

Sahi hai Doctor. Local Cable connection is good option from many aspects. But, Ek baar DTH ki aadat pad jaaye to wapas Cable connection pe lautna impossible hai... Quality differs a lot.

Your setup is very good too, but I haven't seen many people having 2 providers in their homes. It is very functional and practical. Come to think of it: you can subscribe to TS with their cheapest packages and for niche channels you can use the local cable wallah.
