Rep Power: 0 | We have been using a multiple Dish TV connection at our residence for the past few years. We also have a third cable connection which is used by our Mother. She seems to be the only person in the household who is at complete peace - I'm only referring to watching TV Dish TV and it's after sales service has been one of the most frustrating experiences of our lives. We now seriously want to change - and immediately. Will some helpful soul please enlighten us on what is a better option? Praying hard! Abhay |

Rep Power: 0 | Thank you for your concern. There are mutiple problems as far as Dish Tv Is concerned: I have had the most harrowing experiences when trying to extend subsciptions. We have a secondary channel in our room, which Dish TV refers to as a kids connection (it happens to be in the parents room!). Each time the subscription is extended, we have to individually request for the additional channels taht we want to see. Sometimes these take hours to get activated, which is most frustrating. Why can't Dish TV keep a record of what a customer wants? Also, we are also unable to get certaing channels, like News X for instance, which our son has in his room. The Dish TV customer care service is absolutely pathetic. I could go on an on with numerous examples, but this is not going to change the situation. Hence the desire for change. We are willing to spend, but expect a good service. Is that asking for too much in this age of competition?!! |

Rep Power: 12 | I would suggest Tata sky althought every DTH service provider you would ever switch to will have one problem or the other but in my opinion Tata sky which I've been using for a long time now is a whole lot better then all the rest mainly because the backend is taken care of by Sky digital's tried and tested technology and expertise. As far as adding channels is conscerned I have to do that with tata sky as well but it is done at the very moment you call them although I am not happy with calling them every time I recharge it but then there isint anything I can do about it. All in all I find tata sky a whole lot better then dish tv, be it the menue, remote, customer service... name it and tata sky beats dish tv in all the departments... I am sure there are lots of members here who would disagree... Lets have a holy war then... come on... I am all set to get some beating on this |

| @ Abhay Yes thats one of the drawback in Dish TV they dont keep the record of additional channels apart from pack. Unfortunately we have to wait till they rectify this Try tata as Admin has said.. |

Rep Power: 0 | Many thanks, Admin, for the advice...yes, some of my friends do seem to be quite satisfied with Tata Sky. But now since there are new entrants like Reliance & Airtel, do you have any feedback on their service?!! |

| Platinum Member | Have a look here: http://www.indiabroadband.net/dish-t...tml#post176500 (change of service provider??) It will be cheaper to go with TataSky for multiple TVs in a house. I am planning the same next year (unless TataSky also comes with similar hanky-panky). |

| Platinum Member | You are right neo001. But till last year (before introduction of new packs such as Silver/Gold/Platinum, etc.), DishTV offered considered multi-TV as Master/Child. The same channels as those on Master connection were offered on the child connection at 50% the price. All other DTH providers follow the same policy (as of date). DishTV has departed from the policy. Basically, what they are meaning to tell you is now there will be no more child connections - all connections will be treated as individuals.
