can iget free to air channels on dish tv if subscription has expired.

Simple answer - No.

FTA channels are provided free of cost when you subscribe to any paid package.

If you wish FTA channels only and not want to pay for it, install the DTH service from Prasar Bharati (Doordarshan). There is one time cost of installation, dish and the STB.

If free channels would be given, then no one would purchase vouchers, and dth companies and in this case Dish TV would not make any money!

You Will recieve free to air Channels for 3-4 days after the expiry of your subscription and if you won't recharge in that period then telecast of all the channels will be stopped on your VC.

Unless I am much mistaken, the full channel broadcast continues for 15 days after the expiry of usage time, esepcially for 6/12 month contracts.
