anyone here from mumbai using dishtv network for television or internet

also was curious to know if dishtv can also be used for internet connection.

Well i am using it and i think its better service than our cable operators but only problem is montly rent which depends on your channal selection. Other way TATA sky has good offer which give us all channals for 200 RS per month.

I too agree that TATA sky is much better than DISH TV and also now there is a festival offer of 200 per month. All you have to pay is 2999(Digicomp STB)+1000(installation)+200 per month. I think its a great offer. You can get further details from this link:

But I don't think 200 per month pack is worth. You have to spend atleast Rs 300 per month if you want to see some good channels and 200 per month is just to lure the customers but when you see the channel list you have to go for 300 pack.

I do not think that DishTV is bad as compared to TataSKY. Both are good (or same) in my opinion. I have DishTV while my father-in-law has TataSKY. As said in previous thread, Rs.200 is a lure to get you hooked. DishTV has something similar called Dish Welcome. In both services you end up going to the higher package which provides extra premium content.

Both have similar issues: clogged call center, rain interuptions, etc.

I was using dish tv previously before tata sky came. Now, i switched my loyalty to tata sky because i heard it was good and has a good number of channels that dish tv does not have and I was also not so impressed with dish tv's customer service.

but i think apart from recently added few new channels by tata sky , i don't think their is any channel which is missing on dishtv platform...but you can find their are lot many good channels which are missing on tatasky but dishtv have those....

To the thread-starter, Dish TV is planning to introduce internet services soon but don't know when.

Regarding content of TV channels in Dish TV or Tata Sky: Both offer almost all the major channels. There are a few channels available on Dish and not available in Tata-Sky and vice-versa.
