Default Dish TV CAM inserted into STB

Dish TV one of the DTH providers is planning on something different and something which will boost its value. Dish TV will launch CAM (conditional access modules), this is something which allows customers to switch to the channels provided by Dish TV, but this can only happen if you have a set top box
The CAM gadget is something quite small in size and it’s inserted into the set top box and this is a simple way to switch to another DTH provider without having the pay for the costs of a new set top box. This is something which will bring new customers to Dish TV, but however it also depends on what cost the CAM gadget will be and this is something which needs to be discussed and then be announced.
Regarding the fact that some may think that how can the CAM be inserted into their set top box, well it is that every set top box sold should be CAM compliant or even have an empty space so that the gadget can be inserted.
However some DTH providers think that the CAM is not as successful, as its cost is the same or as equal as a new set top box.

It would have been so much easier if all we had to do was change that card that goes into the box to change your DTH provider... The prices would come down very steeply in the DTH packages if that was to happen.
