Thread: Is Star Sports, ESPN & Star Cricket removed from Platinum Package ?

I'm not able to view Star Cricket, ESPN and Star Sports in my Platinum Package. Instead Ten Cricket is visible though its not included in Platinum Package.
After seeing this i went to Dish TV website and found that In the Platinum Package list all the three sports channel were omitted and Ten Cricket, Neo Sports & Neo Cricket is being listed there.
Can The Dish TV people change the contents without informing ? I paid for 2 months in advance and feeling fooled by these thugs.
Can they really change the contents even though i had chosen to go for any particular channel of my choice ? I mean I have paid for those channels in advance and how can they simply remove it ?
Can I complain somewhere about this ?
It's really frustrating. Can they really do this ?

Yes. Three channels have been removed from ALL Dish TV packs - ESPN, Star Sports and Star Cricket. This includes Platinum pack as well.

Instead of the above three, Dish has added Ten Cricket, Neo Sports and Neo Cricket to the pack, where applicable.

Can they do it at random without informing. Sadly yes.

Can you complain? Yes. But the resolution will depend upon the Customer Service Manager. Through negotiation it is possible. So keep calm. Do not shout over the phone when talking to them. But do express your disappointment and anguish.

I have given up on Dish TV. My long term contract expires on 5-Nov and I will not renew it again. I am definitely switching to probably Tata Sky or Videocon D2H. Note that every provider is a bead of the same necklace!

Can anybody provide me the contact details of the higher authority executive or any manager, so as to discuss the matter. As this could be treated as a fraud done by the company. Customer goes for any higher package only because he has those requirements. Company added those 3 channels to the package when there is no need of these channels. No live matches are planned to come on these channels, whereas the live matches are getting broadcasted on start sport and they have removed and that too without informing.

I registered a protest on DishTV by emailing to Customer Care. The next day I got a call from CC and after a few minutes of patient discussion, they restored the old package, i.e., they removed Ten Cricket, Neo Cricket, Neo+ and reinstalled ESPN, Star Sports, Star Cricket.
