Dish TV viewers to catch all ICL matches

Dish TV, the leader in direct to home (DTH) services in India, has added yet another feat to its impressive line up of services on the platform.

Dish TV is the only digital platform to have a complete telecast of all Indian Cricket League (ICL) matches, being played between November 30, 2007 to December 16, 2007 at Chandigarh. Dish TV viewers will not only enjoy an incredible digital viewing experience of Zee Sports, but offer a variety of "active" sports features too, that include multi camera feeds, 4 language commentary, match highlights on demand, all at the touch of the remote button.

Arun Kumar Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer, Dish TV, said, "As a measure of solidarity to our parent group, we are proud to host the active version of the inaugural ICL league, on Dish TV Not only will our subscribers enjoy an outstanding digital viewing experience of all the ICL matches, but they will also have an incredible line up of active features on Zee sports for this event. We once again re-enforce our promise to continue entertaining our subscribers with such value added services on a regular basis."

On the other hand, about 1.5 million subscribers of Tata Sky, the Tata group's DTH service will not be able to watch matches of the ICL on Zee Sports. However, Tata Sky viewers would be able to see the first 30 minutes of the matches as other popular Zee channels are available with the network.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Essel group announced a prize money of Rs 15 crore. This is the first time in history of Indian cricket that total reward money for the tournament has touched Rs 15 crore. While the Champion team will be rewarded Rs 3.9 crore, the runner up will be rewarded presented with a prize money of Rs 1.9 crore.
