Thread: Latest Movies on dishtv : MOD

Just checked their website, dishtv now provides us the latest movies, Jab we met, Taare zameein par, spiderman wild hog etc....where Jab we met is currently available on MOD and rest of the movies are coming soon in recent times. So now its time to enjoy latest movies as per your convinient time.

How much does it cost per movie? and how long is the movie avauilable for viewing or is it just one time view?

The cost is Rs 50 for Hindi movies and Rs. 62 to Rs. 75 for English on an average. I have never ordered Movie-on-Demand as yet so I am not sure how long it is available or whether it is just a single time view. Logically it should be available for at least 24 hours and any number of times during the period. But most Indian companies in the TV/Telecom sector do not work on logic or customer satisfaction orientation.

Maybe I will order a movie once and post my findings.

I ordered "Jab We Met" yesterday. The cost is Rs. 60 + taxes. The movie started after 45 minutes of ordering and is available for 24 hours for viewing. DishTV has 5 channels reserved for MoD and the movie was made available on two of them with one hour lag on each other. On the whole the experience was quite OK.

This is something really good. I didn't knew about this service from Dish Tv as i am presently using it. I would surely like to order a movie for myself.

Yeah. But most the times the movies on MOD are not worth ordering - especially Hindi movies. DishTV is bring Spiderman III soon. I am waiting for hit movies such as 'Welcome', 'Taare Zamin Par', etc.

'Jab we met' was shown in Zee last week.

I was not aware of this thing. I would soon order a movie for me for coming sunday..

This is a very good feature. I wanted to ask that is this feature available in TATA Sky too as i was thinking of getting there satellite TV connection next month.. please let me know about this...
