    Default Dish TV: VoD procedure?

I have never used Dish TV. I want to know the procedure of ordering movies on demand(VoD)? It will be great if someone tells me the whole procedure in detail including the methods of payment etc..Is there any different service as Pay Per View in Dish TV?
What other interactive services they offer?

First you must decide which movie you wish to watch and note down its product code. MOD channels are available on channels 50, 51, 52, 53, 54 and 55.

You have two options to order movies on demand:

    a) You can call up the DishTv customer care center and request the movie you wish to see.
    b) You can send an SMS to the DishTV MOD center. The above channels will tell you how.

Payment can be done by ITZ Cash Card or Credit Card. For Credit Card, you must login to the Dish TV website. I have used MOD service twice and it was no hassle.

Thanx for replyin ...it means if you want to order using your credit card, then you should have the internet connection at your place. which is a different service all together! Dont you feel lazy to get connected to internet just for ordering a movie of your choice?

As I said that you have an ITZ Cash card option also. ITZ cash cards are available for domains of as little as Rs. 100/-. A typical MOD movie costs Rs. 55/- to Rs. 70/-. Any credit balance is carried over to the next billing or MOD.

The way MoD is offered, I think its Pay Per View Service and not Video on Demand..Do Dish TV or TATA sky provide Video on Demand? In PPV user can buy a particular program event separately from any package or subscription. Whereas, Video on Demand gives the freedom to view any preloaded program at anytime from anywhere. Is there any way of controlling (pause & play) the LIVE TV?

At the moment there are no providers that offer Video on Demand service.

Nope. You need different kind of hardware for that purpose and in any case that service is not available.

You can't. As of now, the channels are dedicated for movies only.

For that matter, you can't really order movies either. You just have the option to "subscribe' to the movies currently being featured. But, you can send your requests by SMS.

I watch TV on projector sometimes and I rue the fact that the TV transmission is not in Widescreen format. I wish that DTH providers send the feed in both formats (normal/letterbox as well as anamorphic widescreen). I know that this is very much possible.
