Default Dish TVs hattrick offer

Dish tv has introduced an offer, where you will be getting 12 months worth of subscription charges, free 33 movies on demand, and 12 months of gaming from playjam. It is priced at Rs. 1990 though.

This is really a good offer from dishtv to their south viewers.
12 months free subscription of freedom package in Rs.1990/- and that too includes 5sports channels (Including ESPN channels).

Also they are providing different packages to choose from ..its good packaging and i think this offer is value for their money for all south customers.

I do not think this applies to Maxi package. It must be applicable to Welcome package.

do u know what is freedom package???
Only FTA channels + language pack channels.
No sport channel except DD sports;
No Sony, Zee, star plus, star one excpet sahara filmi, sahara 1, star utsav;
No star news, NDTV profit or any english news channels expt Black Magic supportive news channels like india tv, aaj tak.

So freedom pack is not for us, its for people who r really uninterested in watching tvs

@sb21pro, They call it "freedom" package because it gives freedom from cable operators.

@aneesh2k7, if you really believe that cable is better then I cannot say much. I went away from cable to DTH because of the following reasons:

- the channels that I watch often (Disc, NatGeo, AP, etc.) were too grainy and unwatchable
- with DTH I get (more or less) the same quality in all channels - this problem is now gone with those MSOs that are using digital technology - but back in 2004 this was a serious issue for me.
- many channels such as Disc, Cartoon Net, etc. were dubbed and broadcasted in Hindi. I have nothing against Hindi but but I believe that enjoyment is found in native language only. I won't like Hindi soaps/movies dubbed in English either.
- and the biggest problem - we had powercuts of 3 hour slots. So for 3 hours I could not watch TV and for another 3 hours cable operator had power cut - so 6 hours lost.

---------------

Having said that, I am discovering that DishTV is now also going the TataSky way of creating packaged channels. They have removed Shara One and Filmy from the Maxi set and are now part of the Punjabi pack available for Rs. 25/- extra per month.

I am seriously thinking of switching to TataSky in December (when my DishTV subscription ends).
