Thread: Which broadband is good ?

We have an airtel connection at our home.

We need a 2nd one with a different Ip address.

Satisfied with Airtel, we want to take another one from them, but they refuse to provide a static IP for the second connection.

Did take a Tata connection but the installation itself was so poor and mess, that I canceled it immediately. They are a poor company and looks like cannot afford good and tidy installation of wires - so tata is out of question.

Leaves me with an option of BSNL, You Telecom and Reliance.

I am confused what to take.

Having heard so many horror stories about their customer support, I have no faith on Reliance.

Please suggest if any other options available.

Do you need a static IP or just a different IP from the one that your current connection is picking up currently? If it is just a different IP then get a second connection from Airtel - the IPs on the two will be different though dynamic...
In case you need a static IP then ask Airtel - I believe they give static IPs at 12k extra per year...

You should try BSNL.

i suggest you TATA instaed of BSNL because The single biggest difference between Tata Indicom Broadband & BSNL Dataone Broadband is the upload speed. With BSNL your upload speed is limited to 5-7 KBPS. With Tata Indicom Broadband / VSNL your upload speed is limited to 512 KBPS and the other major difference is the availability of static IP with Tata Indicom Broadband.

TATA indicom is the best because they have introduced amazing application known as USB modem.It is the leading broadband internet access provider.

As wen i was using Nop Services of wap on my mobile i was getting very satifactory result with good speed n now wen i m using its broadband services its still as good as it is thought i need one more connection n was trying to get it from tata ............ still i say AIRTEL is quite good
