Rep Power: 1 | I am a person who is never satisfied with average performance, be it my electronics, my work or even an internet connection. When it comes to broadband connections in India, the scene is quite dismal. Most of the companies available are only out to make money off extremely average if not poor, quality of service. Six months ago, I was a troubled man when it came to having a respectable solution for internet access. I was trying every service available, Sify, Spacenet (a locally based service), Reliance Wimax… I had seen them all. What I came across was being overcharged, frequent interruptions, poor speeds and poor quality of cables. The local cable services even exposing my computer to be attacked by infected computers on their intranet. I used Reliance Wimax for 5-6 months, the connection remaining inactive for nearly 2 months combined. I had yet to try out Airtel but only because their service was not available at all in my area. I had a pleasant surprise last October though. They had finally made it to my area. I had heard a lot about their quality of service by my friends over time. But I wasn’t sure because I had not seen it for myself. I decided to give it a go and am since a happier man. The connection offers about 10 to 15% more speed than what is stated as the plan speed. What’s more, it has suffered just two interruptions of some hours in the last 8 months; the first because of a cable cut underground and the other because of my own line being cut by rodents, both promptly attended by Airtel technical support, my whole line was replaced to new. I just can’t be more satisfied with their service. A while ago it did not seem possible. Probably a good sign of things to come. |

Rep Power: 2 | Boss your comments above make it sound like we were sailing in the same boat , I have gone through the same experience that you have and I am happy to say that , I'm thoroughly satisfied with Airtel , I forgot the last time I had to check to see if the internet connection was working or not. It just works , Had a horrible experience with the following ISP's Sify Exattnet BSNL Reliance Again this is my personal experience , I am not trying to put any one ISP down or advertise for Airtel . The only Problem with Airtel is feasibility but When it comes to Customer Service, Reliability and Speed , you cannot go wrong with Airtel, I have started recommending Airtel to everyone who is looking for a broadband connection . Have you noticed any speed hike lately ? |
