DSL has independent services as when the high speed data is lost then it does not mean that the telephone service is also lost. So if the amplifier or the repeater damages then the internet access or the telephone line does not go off. Then there is full security as each subscriber or user gets configured hence all are not on the same network like the cable modems. So the chances of data destruction are very low. As far as the integration is concerned DSL easily interfaces with WAN technology, ATM and Nx64, hence telecommuting is very easy. With DSL you get higher bandwidth. The phone companies also offer low charges.
