Yes you can get atleast 1MBps
Just knock your local internet service providers (not local cable operator)but the ISP,from whom your cable operator takes connection and distributes.Just apply for lease line connection(a dedicated optical fibre)for you only,it costs good sum......atleast 15000 per month

    LOL..
If you want excellent speed, do try Airtel 1mbps / Reliance 1 mbps which is 1499 rs per month. Do note that Airtel plans have FUP (Fair Usage policy).

Don't ever go for Tata Indicom or Hathaway. Pathetic connections.

    Default you can prefer BSNL

the one suggestion is BSNL, it is options choice.
the bad about BSNL is you won't get service on time.
no problem with connection, but this is not the time (ATM) to get a internet connection from BSNL.

No issues. But BSNL is not always quick to give connection.

Yes, it may take 2 days to 1 month after registering your Form. It depends on the area you live.

I feel very sad to post in this thread again seeing these comments that people here(who hav posted in this thread except the mother poster and me and few other) have very minimum knowledge about speed, the poster has asked for a speed of 1MBps(megabytes) not 1mbps(megabits).So BSNL is not a choice only mother lease line can do that.A dedicated connection of 10mbps that comes to 1MBps.
