Default Broadband in Shipra Sun City, Ghaziabad?

    Hi Friends,

I have seen some old posts on this forum that have ridiculed Sify connection and I gather hathway is no better. I havent seen good reviews about BSNL either. Are there any other broadband service providers in the area with decent speed, service? I would appreciate if anyone could provide any inputs on the same.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Prat

If you have Airtel broadband available in Shipra then go for it as Airtel's service is a lot better then other isps.

Even my sify connection is doing a lot better then it used to untill last year but still airtel would have been even better.

I don't think we have airtel connection in Shipra Sun City, but I would wait for replies from other forum members who can correct me if I m wrong. I have just moved into the area so I need help and guidance from forum members. Unfortunately I am not getting a very good idea of all the options that I have in the area.

You need to first find out who are provinding Broadband in your residence complex. Sometimes the choices are limited to just one or none.

For example, who is providing landlines in your complex? That telephone company will be able to provide you Broadband also.

BSNL provides the most "value for money" plans that are suitable to most category of users. Though their support is almost zero, the connections are fairly stable.

Since Airtel is not providing you service in your area, there is no point in commenting on that. But you could still register for a connection request. If there are sufficient requests they may install a line for the complex.

I just found out that Airtel broadband connections are available at Shipra sun city Ghaziabad.

In my opinion you dont need to look else where just go with Airtel.

Thats a great news, but when I checked with them they said they dont. Please could you let me know the source of your information? Also, if you have any contact numbers where I could call and get this arranged?

    Many thanks for your help.

I asked some one who lives at Shipra sun city at Ghaziabad and she has an airtel broadband connection herself but she said not all of Shipra is covered by airtel so you will need to see if anyone in your building has it or not.

That is strange because when we enquired at the Shopprix Mall office they confirmed that they don't even have poles and cables in the area so they cant provide the broadband in Shipra Sun City.

Anyways, I have now gone for Tata Indicom's broadband connection (provided by Tata Communications, previously VSNL). Its supposed to be via Dish (like Tata Sky TV connection). Hopefully the engineer will come and do the installation in 2-3 days and I would come back and post my views of the connection. I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

Its Tata wimax connection which you have opted for and it was launched in Ghaziabad very recently. I dont have a feedback about the service quality and all that as of now but hopefully it wont be as bad as reliance wimax has been in some cases with issues like the upload issue and ip assigning issue when you turn the connection on used to take ages.

Tata wimax and Reliance wimax are both running trials at the moment aa government has still not provided a spectrum to either of them as far as I know and thats the reason you dont see any advertisments till now.

this is like biggest problem... that airtel is not available everywhere...

i think if airtel can start putting cables on all request they can be the master in BB area... no one can beat airtel in delhi.. plans and services are so good...

but even i can not get it in south delhi..
