Default New Broadband Connection... Please help

    Hello Friends!

I am from Rohini, Delhi and thinking of taking a new broadband connection.

Searched various providers like Sify, Hathway but not sure about whom to go with?

I am looking for a complete unlimited plan or a night unlimited atleast.

Sify's plan of 400 per month with unlimited download @ 256 KBPS looks good.
Or Hathway plan of Rs. 3150 for six months @ 512 KBPS with night unlimited?

What say? Which one should I consider? Any other?

    Please help!

    Thanks

I would suggest you go with Airtel if you have airtel available in your area. If not then talk to others in your area who already have a broadband connection to find out whats the best local option.

Sify broadband is totally dependent on your local cable operator.. if he is a good techie then you shouldnt have any issues but the best way to find out would be speak to those who already have a sify connection in your own locality.

PS: Please dont post the same message in different sections... you didint get a reply from anyone because it was 3am when you posted your query and our regular members frequent this forum during the day time. Let the day break and you will see loads of replies here and wont feel the need of posting same query in different sections.

    Thanks

Which ever service provider you go with make sure you take an unlimited plan.

I agree with Admin. Airtel is the best option in Delhi. I would have said BSNL but BSNL is not an option in Delhi (and Mumbai) - it is MTNL - and frankly MTNL sucks.

If Airtel is not availble, try Tata Indicom or Reliance Broadnet. As far as Sify is concerned, as Admin said, talk in your neighbourhood first.

    Thanks Admin and just4kix.

Few of my frinds are using MTNL and the response is good here in Delhi.
I am considering it as an option.
Even the next door people are using it and recommending it.

Yes, right, I will go for an unlimited plan (night, at least).

And sorry for posting at various places as I was not sure where to post and I was not able to create a new thread unless I made 15 posts.

    Thanks anyways!

bro give first pref to airtel only its really good and available in rohini.. which sector you are in and please dont go for sify, as me and admin both are suffering from this Sify Fraudband Fever... i'll really not advice you to go for sify...

MTNL is still good when its working but my friends told me that it takes about 4-5 days on an average to fix any fault with MTNL.. so just think and check this before taking MTNL..

Yes, I have removed Sify as an option from my mind!

I am checking the plans that Airtel is offering and will decide between Airtel and MTNL!

    Thanks!

Do not rule out Sify as an option. Check its reliability in the area. The problem with this cable operator provided services is that service quality always differs from place to place and person to person.

There are not many people in my locality who are using sify...
From those who are (here and away), I am getting mixed feedback.

Still, I am in the process of gathering information!

Does anyone has idea about the plans that MTNL is offering. I checked out their website (Broadband)
but think that all the plans are not listed (or updated)!
