Rep Power: 0 | I have been trying to get a broadband connection at home (Kalkaji, DDA Flats, near Alaknanda market) for the past 1 year and still couldn't get any till date. First I tried Tata Indicom, a guy came took the cheque and said within 3 days it will be done...a week past, neither the person was taking my calls nor the cheque was cleared. So did a stop payment of that particular cheque. Then 8 months back I tried Airtel, initially they called up to say they will do it within 3 working days, after 3 days nothing happened then when I called a person, who looks after the airtel broadband section in my area, he said within an hr that they are sorry to inform that they won't be able to provide a broadband connection as all the lines in this area are chocked but will give call up whenever there is a free line, which they can provide. Till date nothing happened. I am surprised that an area like Kalkaji, where the airtel broadband user rate is so high, airtel cannot provide a single line to me? Now, I really don't know which broadband to get for my home. |

Rep Power: 0 | But to get a MTNL broadband connection one needs to have a MTNL telephone first, on which they will provide the connection. I don't have an MTNL landline as I live in a rented house, which I need to change within 1-2 years, so I carry a cell instead. |

a) Thru fixed landline: BSNL/MTNL, Airtel, Reliance, Tata Indicom b) Thru Wimax: Tata Indicom, Reliance c) Thru Cable: Sify, Hathway, etc. Best and most reliable service is from fixed landline. Wimax and cable are crap by a majority opinion. So it is your call. You were ready to go with Airtel - so don't the reasons of "landline and rented acco" apply here also?

| BSNL is not available in Delhi In Kalkaji flats you can go for MTNL and Tata Broadband, Tata Wimax and reliace too, for airtel you need to speak to airtel as its available in some places in Kalkaji not everywhere
