Default Bruce willis was ghost in The Sixth Sense

Yes!! you heard it right. Bruce willis was ghost in the movie The Sixth Sense.
How would you have felt if somebody had told you this before you'd watched that movie?
Most of the time when we review any movie in this forum we just tell the whole story...spilling all the beans and thus spoiling the climax that the movie offers.

In my opinion reviewing a movie is about narrating how did you feel watching the movie. It's about how much you were moved by the storyline, the performance by the actors, it's direction, cinematography ,your rating , any relevant information etc.

Wouldn't it be better if we avoid telling the story in our movie reviews? In this case we'll be able to know about everybody's(who is ready to share) experience regarding that movie.

It's just a suggestion. If my suggestion doesn't go well then at least put "Spoiler Alert" in the very beginning, the way IMDB does.

    Waiting for your feedback guys...

sixth sense was a movie which had to be watched for the first time and be shocked in the end. it's a thriller movie after all. but what about a romantic movie or those movies with happy endings? does spoilers really matter here? not for me at least.

movies like "requiem for a dream" and "mystic river" ends in an unconventional way - no happy endings. they weren't thrillers or didn't have any mystery to them but there spoilers might mess up your movie experience. you have a point but you can be your own judge here on whether which movie deserves a full review and those that don't.

This applies only to English movies.

For Indian movies you can figure out the entire
story even before you watch the first opening scene.

"the hero and heroine get together in the end"
would be a spoiler for 99% of Indian movies.

p.s was Bruce Willis the ghost? don't be too sure.

I am talking about writing a review in general. I don't think that the style changes with hindi movie or english movie.

I agree with you in general. what I am saying is in Hindi movies
even if you tell the climax, the reaction would be
"sure, I know that will happen"

I write movie reviews once in a while. Generally, I will NOT reveal the end if the movie has a suspense ending. But it is a generic comedy or romance, then the end is well known in advance. The review brings about the highlights of the movie.

But I agree with Nandini - there should be a spoiler alert in the title of beginning of the post.

some VB forums have a spoiler tag. Very practical IMO.

Yes. But there cannot be an automatic check. If people writer "(spoiler)" in the title, that would be great.
