Dear Gurus,
I have a peculiar problem with Reliance Broadband and Netgear router

ISP : Reliance broadband Fixed wire connection (No telephone, Modem)
Router : Netgear router Wgr614
Devices used : 2 Smart Phones(Android & Apple), 2 Laptops

This peculiar thing started from day 1 (I installed the router with the instructions provided with Netgear)
All the devices get connected to the personal WiFi sucessfully.
However, In the laptops the reliance login page never opens up.
Meanwhile in both the smart phones it opens up after 3 to 4 trys.

Once connected and if something is downloading, it is perfect.
However, if it is idle the reliance page logs out and the whole process of connecting is re-started.

Really confused
please advice

Thank you

I am using Reliance Broadnet in New Delhi. My current plan is Thunder 549 (1 Mbps UL). I got my connection back in August 2012 as it was (and is) the only ISP in my locality. The other one is Sify but its much costlier and slower. I doubt they are any good either.

Anyway, the first month I noticed I got DC'ed quite a lot, but thought it was some temporary issue. The next month, the same problem went on, but I ignored it. In November and December, I made several complaints but no one fixed it (and all my complaint tickets were closed by the team - and to my shock, when I enquired about one of them, they said my LAN card was faulty, another one said my router was the problem... I have changed my router also, same problem still). So then, I found out the IP of the local Reliance server and decided to track the ping for 24 hours. To my surprise, I found out its not a "problem" that I am facing. The local server goes down every hour (once or twice at least, sometimes more) for about a minute or two, as if requiring some sort of restart. Sometimes, the net stops working for 1 or 2 minutes even if the local gateway is up (confirmed by another ping to Google India). I tried to tell the customer care the same thing but they wouldn't listen and probably thought I am blaming them for a fault in my computer or something like that.

I spent January '13 - March '13 again with no complaints since I knew they wouldn't fix it. In April '13, I tried calling them again, but they kept telling me "nation wide upgradation work is going on so we can't register your complaint." First date was 20th April, then 21st April, then 30th April, then 7th May, and now its 15th May. I am sure when I call them up on 16th, they will say the date for completion of work has been extended to 30th May.

I feel helpless. I shudder when making online payments because I never know when the connection might go down. I get losses in games online because my net stops working mid-way. This is nothing short of horrible.

Anyone else in Delhi with the same issue of the local gateway going down so often?

I am experiencing very slow speeds in evening (I am all day in office, need net for meetings etc in evening only so do not know ) from reliance wired connection (Thunder 699 plan) in Pune.

Called customer care (horrible experience!), all they say is there is nation-wide(!) maintenance going on from 8 am to 9 pm (which is going on till 10th May according to latest tareekh  hearing the same answer for last 3 months) and you might experience slow speeds during the time.

I am paying for a 2 MBPS connections and at times I get ~ 150kbps speed. So I asked for refund/concession in the bill on this customer care says that it is not possible to give refund if your connection is working.

Does anyone else experiencing same issues from reliance in this wide-nation? :p

Hi guys, I have been using a Belkin ADSL router for sometime now but for the pas 4 days i am not able to access the internet using Wifi. Reliance does not support Wifi apparently. My current scenario is -

Reliance Service are horrific and once they are down nobody will listen to you. They will always ask you to pay in advance but will never bother if your services are working or not.
There is no escalation for the services and no pillar to bang your head to.
Here is small amount of contents of my still ongoing horrific experience for the same.
On Tue, Mar 5, 2013 at 11:25 AM,
Hi Reliance

My name is Vaneet and I'm paying for poor services to Reliance against 390406766982. On 02nd March 2013 around 08:00 PM IST my Reliance Wireline Services stopped working and within few minutes i logged a call with Reliance Customer Care and complaint ID is - 199240502.
Since then I'm following up Reliance Guys for update and getting almost different version every time I call.
Someone told me its DP Box Issue, Fiber Cut, A Network Outage and my question is that what the support teams are doing to rectify this. Every person got one version for this question "Sir it will surely start working in next XX hours and we are escalating this to concerned team"
Probably this concerned team is something Invisible one.

Here are the few interactions IDs which I got while calling and can remember
3181449006
Kindly provide answer to my simple question as followin

"WHY SHOULD I CONTINUE WITH RELIANCE AND WHY SHOULD I KEEP PAYING YOU GUYS"

Hope that I will get a speedy response from someone up in the chain. Also despite being asked many times I was never shared any escalation matrix so kindly provide me the same too.
Mind it guys I'm not letting this thread let go easily and ready to hit this thread to Reliance Services/Sales Management.

Regards and I will follow up at 11:00 AM IST

Hi Team

I received a call from your Billing Guys for payment of this month's bill and I declined the same with reason that why should I pay for the services which are not working since last 51 days....congratulations with your Half Century.
You Reliance Guys are really PATHETIC with services....PLEASE CLOSE YOUR SERVICES AND HAVE SOME REST

With No Regards

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

End of Story that you will receive only automated mail replies, no calls and if you are lucky then only your issue will get resolved. I have enough material to prove this even in court and I challenge any Reliance Guy to prove me wrong.
Nobody will listen to you regardless whatever you will try.

Haha...get back to me if you want more proof for the same
