I have 2 LAN CARDS and made 2 PPPoE dialers ... so when i connect to 1 connection and try to connect to the 2nd, i get :

I am installing a Belkin ADSL+ Model-cum-Wireless G Router on a BSNL Broadband. I followed all steps, took help of Belkin support for 4-to-5 hours. Belkin support also tried everything but this device (Modem-cum-router) is not getting connected to Internet. If I put my old Huawei Modem, the internet starts working immediately. After trying all possible options, Belkin support informed me to register the MAC Address of my device with BSNL. As per my knowledge, no such registration of MAC Address is required. If it is required, how do I do the registration ? If not, what could be the problem ???

Hello all, I found a trick that will boost your bandwith 20%!:D
All you have to do is:

1. Open start>run
2. Type gpedit.msc and press enter
3. Goto Local Computer Policy>Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Network> QoS packet Scheduler
4. Open Limit Reservable Bandwith
5. Click on the enabled radio button
6. Now you will see 20% written below
7. Change it to 0%, Save all settings by clicking OK and closing it.

Now restart your computer and you will gain 20% speed boost.

About the QoS Packet Scheduler:

QoS Packet Scheduler reserves 20% of your bandwith that can be used for some applications like Microsoft office etc. If you set the value to 0%, you will get the 20% of the bandwith too.

Also you can use PGWare Throttle 6 to speed up your internet speed.

P.S. Gaining 20% Bandwith Doesn't Mean that you will get 20% More downloading speed, it will deny some Windows Application to use the Bandwith. So don't think this will boost your speed, its a MYTH

Ethernet broadband which is supposed to be a very fast internet access is commonly used today. Though its speed varies or get limited in certain locations but for some locations Ethernet broadband access speed is just the right one. One can see this in the case of the POP or a data center. One cannot expect a very high speed at a residence or business. Ethernet Internet access offers the fiber-optic or copper twisted pair systems. With this the speed of the standard Ethernet conforms to 10 Gbit per second. One of the major advantages of Ethernet broadband is that you do not need to install special hardware for Ethernet. it also has a very low latency.

Wired Ethernet is a very fast means of broadband connection to the Internet. Here the Internet access is very fast. But this does not mean that Ethernet offers full 10, 100, or 1000 Mbit per second of connection that can be utilized for Internet access. For example in any building Ethernet access might be available fully but Internet access speeds might not be more than 4xT-1 speed. This is because if once you are sharing a broadband connection with other people in the building the speed to access of the leased line into the building will monitor the speed of the end user. Wired Ethernet is commonly used for groups and individual users.

T-1 internet access are for business and not for individual subscribers. There are separate T-1 for data and voice. So they are often prefixed as Data T-1 or Voice T-1 to differentiate between the two. A phone company's central office or CO is where the voice T-1 terminates for connection to the PSTN and a point of presence; POP or data center is where data T-1 terminates. Now the T-1 line which lies between the customer's premises and the POP or CO is known as the local loop. The network at the POP where the T-1 connects to the Internet may not be owned by the owner of the local loop. Hence one can subscribe and have contracts with two organizations separately.

The T-1 lines are very expensive and because they are expensive and regulated by Public Service Commission the T-1 lines are installed under proper provisions of a written agreement. This contract term is for one to three years. Please note that there are a few restrictions in terms of the use of the end-user for T-1. This kind of internet access guarantees uptime and bandwidth speed. You will also have the quality of service supported and there will also be blocks of static IP addresses. T-1 lines were originally conceived for voice transmission. These voice T-1 lines are widely used in businesses. They are not meant for individual subscribers. T-1 lines are separate for both data and voice.

In India T-1/DS-1 are managed and regulated through Public Service Commissions in each and every state. T-1 services have actually very strict and are used under rigid service requirements. T-1/DS-1 have a very high provider's maintenance costs and also makes it necessary for the provider to have a technician on standby for 24 hours a day. This is done to repair any malfunctions or faults that effect the line. Please note that ISDN and DSL connections are not regulated by the Public Service Commissions. They are used by huge business houses and it firms for fast and consistence internet connection. They are not used for individual users or small organizations.
