If there are some that think that simple look isnt in, well just have a look at the hollywood and bollywood celebs, who have a very natural look these days. The best thing is that it goes with all kinds of dresses and events.

But sometimes the dark lipstick can look nice, depending on the occasion and time of day!

too much lipstick can look cheesy ....IMO its a NO NO !

Applying something like Vaseline Lip care [or something similar]before going to bed every night should be included in your regimen [both men and women].....

And having your nails manicured atleast once in a while in a saloon is a very good idea ......

For men nails r best kept short.....
If you r growing it long make sure u dont have any grime under ur nails .... that one too is a strict NO NO ....
Its ok if you r nt trendy .... but no excuse for not being neat and tidy

I am in fact talking about lipsticks with natural colour or something that doest stand out too much, such as light browns, skin pinks, tan colours, hazel brown and those type! But of course lipsticks should be applied in a good way and for the right occasion and according to your dress.

Yeh its good idea to cut your nails regularly, but every weekend thats only if they grow that fast!

I think for the girls who keep their nails long their are easy steps to keep their nails clean, well i know i keep them clean dont know about others!

1) Get warm water and mix in their either a manicure shampoo or some salt with any shampoo but only a little bit. Keep your fingers dipped into the water for about 5-10mins.
Use a tooth brush to clean each nail, push back cuticles and cant remember what its called one of those stick tings to clean under your nails.

2) Use a lemon wedge to rub on your nails, which makes them shine and clean them further! (for those people who have yellowish nails they can use lemon regularly to make them whiter)

3) Use any good moiturizer and apply little drops of it on your nails and rub in the moisturizer into your nails.

4) At night always rub in olive oil on your nails, as it makes them stronger and provides them with vitamin E!

The same procedure can be done with nails on your feet!

Regarding shades for your girlfriend, natural shades look good which come in pinks, browns, mauve and many others!

Maybe you have seen the people who wear the bright red, dark brown and purple coloured lipsticks, which i agree on are a big no no!

Thanks Preeti... That was very informative... Especially cuz I have a fetish for well maintained little longer nails on gals... Its like some guys 1st notice eyes, some hair, etc of a girl... I watch nails 1st... Good to know that so much care goes in those beautifuly manicured nails... I also like those french style manicured artificial nails... & yes natural shades are better anyday... I just get confused by those new shades... Thats y I asked..

Well if you wanted to gift her a nail color, don't go for the new ones and you don't know if she will like them, but she will defiantly like the natural ones.

And if you like French manicured nails, its not necessary that they have to be artificial, next time you want to give her something for her nails, give her a French Manicure set, which includes three nail colours, which includes one pale pink colour, one white colour and one clear colour and some packs have extra accessories which is always good. Then when your gf uses this manicure set she too can have the French manicure look, which looks fab and makes the nails look more presentable. It can also be used on the nails on the feet too!

Any more help let me know!

Oh and the French manicure set it now easily available in many cosmetic stores and malls, but make sure its not just a cheap quality as the nail color will be cheap quality and wont look as good, i think the max it should cost would be Rs300, thats just an idea though!

For the record, skin cells are dead and lack the capacity to absorb vitamin E. What makes the olive oil work is that it acts as a moisturiser and keeps the nails from being brittle due to dryness. ^_^

On a similar note, even hair being dead, is incapable of "absorbing" any special nutirents from the shampoos (homemade AND manufactured both) you use on it. It's simply the action of the chemicals in it that affect your hair.

One thing i want to mention about make up is that you shouldn't buy cheap makeup (as in makeup from stalls) as it can harm your skin. I'm not saying you should buy expensive makeup but buy branded makeup whether its cheap or expensive but it should be a reputed brand!

Things like eyeliners, mascara is brought cheap from stalls and of not good brands can damage your eyes, and eyes are very sensitive, the same applies for the other makeup products like lipstick, blusher, foundation etc!
