What is your idea of a great bridal shower?
Do you prefer throwing a bridal shower before the actual wedding?

Bridal shower - F.R.I.E.N.D.S style!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aren't bridal showers meant to be prior to the wedding itself? If this is a new trend, then... ive no idea.
If you have seen the serial Friends and click on the above link, you will know what I mean.![]()
i have to say Ross looks... very... "nice"![]()

Nope, never saw that one... but he does look, "handsome"... Ross was hilarious! He was probably the best of all the characters in the serial!
oh yes i remember that one...
with the old short stripper with the "not so sexy" moves.
So im gettin the feelin bridal showers are the sophisticated version of bachelorette parties.
That "old" stripper was Danny de Vito. Actually he was quite good as a stripper.
Devito is hilarious! he is certainly one of the greatest American actors around. The difference, i think is... yes, Alexina, like you mentioned. it's not really sophisticated, i think, from what i know... from my childhood friends that have had these, the bridal shower is more... a daytime issue, with family & friends, and yep... sometimes more "respectful" let's say. I also think it has to do with your culture, as far as... Indian, Asian, European, American, Latin American, etc... Another thing, sometimes the only difference is the name. They are the same exact thing, same time, same style, same everything just some people call it a bridal shower.
If this would be the first time meeting the groom's family & such, then i would say before the wedding may be best. If anything i think it would take a lot of pressure off the bride, & the groom as well. In some cultures there is a saying "first fall in love with your fiancee's family, and then with your fiancee." I thought it was funny, but... i do believe those family ties are of huge importance. Sounds old fashioned, at times, but it's just a matter of getting along with people, especially people that are now quite prominent in your life.
A bridal's shower is usually for all girls only. But it depends on the bride if she likes it as a 'couple's party' or what we term as 'jack and jill party'.
Yes, these sorts of parties are generally for girls only, not usually mixed.
