    Default Sun Glasses

Over the years sun glasses have become an important personal accessory from both fashion and health perspectives... When it comes to fashion it's simply about looking good, being trendy and stylish! It's cuz of this that we want to wear the latest trendy sun glasses from leading brands as worn by celebrities and models, the beautiful people, don't we?

From a health perspective, we all know about the importance that sun glasses play when it comes to eye protection from the sun's damaging UV rays... This is not only important on sunny days but is also important all year round because the sun's UV rays get through even on cloudy and overcast days...

The ability to block UV light is not dependent on the darkness of the lens or the price tag... While both plastic and glass lenses absorb some UV light, UV absorption is improved by adding certain chemicals to the lens material during manufacturing or by applying special lens coatings... Researchers say that we should "always choose sunglasses that are labeled as blocking 99-100% of UV rays."

When buying sunglasses it's important that you
    (a) check the fit and style and make sure that you'll be happy with the look,

    (b) only choose sunglasses that are labeled as blocking 99-100% of UV rays

    (c) check the frame and lenses for quality of manufacture and satisfy yourself that that the sun glasses will last and not fall apart on you!

btw, as u can see in my Avatar I like aviator style sunglasses... Thats Rayban Aviator... what do u like/own?

    Good information Itsmemad.

    I am a sunglasses freak ;-)

I have the Rayban aviator in prescription for driving. I also like the
    classic Rayban wayfarer.

I have a whole bunch of sunglasses. The best ones are
    Revo, Maui Jim and Serengeti.

p.s I really can't tell what kind of sunglasses you are wearing
    in your avatar ;-)

Ray-Ban is old hat - check out the coolest ones from Carrera, Gucci or Rodeo-Drive.

But as said, costly does not mean best.

well, the Rayban aviators and Wayfarers are perennially in fashion.

    It's like this

Gucci, Armani, Versace etc- the person is wearing cool sunglasses
Rayban retro ones - the cool person is wearing sunglasses

Ray Ban is old but its one the most popular sunglasses brands all over the world.
I like the style of Channel sunglasses. I not too fussy on the brands of sunglasses, although branded ones do look good! As long as they look good on me and do the trick thats fine with me!

Thanks for the info itsmemad, it was useful as i didn't know something of the things you mentioned!

I have to add that i do love sunglasses, the more the better!

    My take -

    1) Polaroid
    2) Rayban - Aviator Large Metal (Gold Metal Frame and Dark Green Glasses - USAAC)

That's It. Nothing else will do.

Great piece of information. In my view people have more confidence in RayBan than any other brand.

Did you guys know that a way to tell if the quality of your sunglasses is good or not, is hold the sunglasses in your hand. Then see if you can clearly see a tube light reflecting on it, if its blurring or unclear then they are not good, if your able to see the tube light clearly without any blurs or anything then they are fine to wear.

I'll try it out with a few of my sunglasses and confirm/deny this.

    thanks

do you check the reflection on the front of the sunglasses or back? or
do you look through the sunglasses at a tubelight?

Thanks for the acknowledgement preeti because these cheap imitations are so good that they are difficult to identify.
