But as I said if you are moderately thin u can fit into a 200 buck jean and look great.
200 buck jean they are pathetic man ... the roadside jeans ... i have never tried them, but heard that they dont last for long ...

If you ever visit delhi, do visit the monestry market near ISBT, that's the new delhi bus stand. You'll find cool trendy clothes over there, but you have to compromise with the quality, but you will definately get a good variety between 300-600 bucks. That is basically a Tibetian Market, and you them, they are really cool and stylish.

Guys, you are looking at the wrong place. Try Sarojini Market or CP you will get much better stuff. Monastery is not what it used to be earlier.

You know after all the talk about Branded and unbranded I remember a story from my school days. I was in school and one of the guys who used to travel with me came to school with amazing leather shoes (semi formal)
I couldnt find these in most of the showrooms and I asked him about it. He told me that he had bought them from his cousin. His cousin had a small scale industry producing shoes somewhere in Punjab.

Guess what was the name of the brand??

The Brand of shoes now known as Red Tape

BTW I picked up these amazing sandals from Sarojini Nagar for 250 bucks. They are exactly the same as the ones sold in Levi's & Reebok for 1500 or more

What the heck, even if they last me 6 months I can still buy 6 more pairs for the same amount

Hey, was just a spur of the moment buy.

It turned out pretty well, its been 6 months and no issues yet.

In fact, I recently went to Goa and wore these all the time, even walking in the Sand and Sea with them.

    Touch wood!!!!

I am not against Branded Clothing, but I feel that you should go to these markets with an open mind and you might end up getting something good.

Whenever I have gone to these markets I have bought atleast 4-5 k of stuff for me and my wife. Its not about branded or unbranded stuff, you just need an eye for these things. I have so many friend who are very rich but still go and buy stuff from there, its a choice.

Example go to Benetton/Espirit/Wills showroom and check out the stuff there, then go to incence in Sarojini Nagar and check out the clothes and prices...I am sure you will be amazed.

As I said earlier, its difficult for some people to get stuff. For some this comes naturally. I have seen people picking up Gucci orignal for a bomb (cost upwards of 40k) and then looking like jokers

Isleeye label par mat jao...aapni akal lagao

You have just made me remind of one of my old pal, who was crazy about branded clothes, no matter how worse the product is, he gonna take that

Bhai, look around you, you will find a lot of things

You know all these things that you buy in Branded showrooms are produced in countries like ours?

All they do is buy in bulk and then stick the labels..ho gaya branded.

The stuff that you sometimes see in SN will be the excess of orders that might have been canceled by the firm. As the orders are huge (tens of thousands) if one order gets canceled (due to late delivery, quality etc) the manufacturer has to sell this by weight.

I have found many brands with tags partially removed in the same market...

But again its upto the individual to decide what you want to buy and wear. If you are happy with your Versace Jeans and Hilfiger Shirts so be it..

Hum jaise gareeb logoon ke liye SN ka maal hi theek hai
