Add me to the list of voracious readers and book collectors ;-)

I am more into science these days. I used to read a lot of fiction but
my library is low in fiction.

I have lots of physics, astronomy, anthropology books in my collection.

My favourite is the entire Calvin and Hobbes Collection ;-)

    I am currently reading

The Goldilocks Enigma by Paul Davis
Amazon.com: The Goldilocks Enigma: Why Is the Universe Just Right for Life?: Paul Davies: Books

The Ancestors Tale by Richard Dawkins
Amazon.com: The Ancestor's Tale: A Pilgrimage to the Dawn of Evolution: Richard Dawkins: Books

Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons by Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes)
Amazon.com: Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons: Bill Watterson: Books

    The classification is as under:

Literature: selected works and English classics such as from Daniel Defoe, Sir Walter Scott, Alexandre Dumas, Jane Austen, Louise M Alcot, Rudyard Kipling, etc.

Humour: P G Wodehouse (the entire Jeeves collection, Gold stories, etc.), Jonathan Lynn/Anthony Jay

Fiction: Arthor Hailey, Fredrick Forsythe, Jeffrey Archer, Dan Brown, Irving Wallace, Jackie Collins, etc.

Comics - All of Tintin and Asterix, About 100+ Archies, some Amar Chitra Katha, Indrajal Comics (e-comics or scans).

Marathi Literature: Most of the works of P L Deshpande, plus others.

Non-Fiction: Some management and other such books.

A rough total of about 150 books (excluding comics).

That is just wonderful of you Kiran!! :w00t:
And not to mention about j4x and farce!!

    @shadow
Why do you think so? I see it as quite a nice thing.

    1) I like to read, mainly fiction and science. If I don't get any books during my free time, I just get some newspapers (even old ones ), and read it. Collecting books is one thing I'm really interested in, eventhough I don't have a big collection or so.

I would never miss a chance to get one book, even if I wont be able to read it. This reminds me of the first book I got as a gift (from one of my cousins)...:crying:. It was "A Pocketful of Rye", by Agatha Christie.

    2) I collect movies, and I don't use or keep or collect pirated ones. (Some of my friends have even made fun of me for this). And as in the case of books, I do not have much of the movies.

    3) I like songs and singers.
I listen to them, and hum a bit.
I am really ashamed to say this, with Kiran here.

    4) As everyone who has/will reply in this thread, I spend some god amount of time with my little old computer. I had left the habit of playing Computer games some months ago. I used to be a Mad Gamer.

@Aashu, Hmm, never read books by Paulo Coelho. Will try him out.

BTW, I forgot to mention J K Rowling, who inspite of snide remarks by many, I consider to be a brilliant author.

@ J4K - you have a really good and interesting collection of books.

@ Dhanesh - do you really read old newspapers.........hope there not ones you have already read. I sometimes read an old paper if i have nothing to do, but only if i haven't read it before. But i dont go and pick a newspaper out, if its lying on the table i read it.

I wish i had the time to read book, more like i wish i had the patience!

Yes I do, and only at times when I get almost nothing interesting to do.
Obviously, I also read those only, which I haven't read. But, there are some exceptions.

    Fair enough then Dhanesh!

Another hobby i think i would like to develop or learn is blogging, I know its simple, but i think it is the very little things which need to be known in order to make a blog or website run well.

my hobbies mainly are brave activieties like jalli-kattu, they
shapen the horns of the bull and let it run and we will chase it
and catch it and conquer it. it is very dangerous and only my
many years of training helps me. sometimes in my spare time
i also give judgement to small village disputes and cases where
they don't want to go to court.

Now would be a good time to put up a new thread "Who is Punch Bala?"

You know the one with a poll and endless debates and all that.
