    Default Hobbies and Interest

A lot of people have many different hobbies and interests, sometimes you get time and are able to fulfill your wishes and dreams to complete or take part in your favourite hobbies and interests. Sometimes life comes up with things and your unable to do any of the hobbies or interests you like.

I have a lot of desire to learn many different things, but don't have the time, then one day i will be married, then there's no time at all. But some of my hobbies and interests include learning to play a musical instrument, playing and learning some sport or form of martial arts, painting, learning photography professionally, fashion designing and a lot more things.

So what hobbies or interest do you guys have, and how far have you gone in pursuing your hobbies and interests?

Ok here is my hobby list which i started at the age of 3 and still doing them when ever i get time

    1) Singing - I am a professional singer of Hindusani Classical and passes all three exams conducted by state Govt, ie Junior (6th rank), Senio (4th rank) & Vidvat (No ranks will be given got A grade).

    2) Casio / Harmonium - I used to play this instrument when ever i didnt get anybody to accompany me while i was singing, then though and started to give solo concerts in it.

    3) Flute - (my favorite) - I am again a professional flute player done all three exams and given many concerts in All India Radio. I have around 35 flutes with me now of all pitch.

    4) Sitar - I started to learn this when i was 6-7 yrs old but couldnt continue as i moved to hospet from bangalore where i didnt get a good teacher, yet i am good in what i know

    5) Computer geek - Ah started from my school time and got involved both in software & hardware and not i am at a good level.

    6) Making some useful thing in my leisure time - I have made my own UPS for my PC with back up of 1-1.5 hrs, made a wind turbine to generate electricity for my PC and now my PC is running with free electricity

wow, impressive, I wish I had followed my interests in music more formally. I am just an amateur version of you I guess ;-)
I too play some of these instruments but nowhere near a pro level.
Just hobby. I have a collection of musical instruments none of which I play
really well, I have guitar, violin, harmonium, tabla, mridangam, flutes,
harmonicas, keyboard etc. I missed realizing my potential as a
    musical genius

    Wow, thats superb.

Do post some picx of it if you can. And how you designed it. Maybe you can help some of our forum members go green.

BTW are u stayin in outskirts of city, i mean otherwise its difficult to get a constant supply of wind, unless ur on a high rise building....

ya i stay in outskirts of the city so i get enough wind but sometimes here also i dont get as its summer in day time no wind at all and in evening and night ill get quite good wind..! sure will post it tomorrow by taking pics

UPS is normal ie took an old APC UPS and connected a car battery to it, the UPS is only for talking the power from battery and giving it to system, for charging i have made a different charger as from win turbine the current i get will be varying, i have installed a 500VA alternator so my batter will be fully charged in 1 hr and i can be using it.

I spend most of my time on internet(various activities). Other than internet and computers -

Reading Books and Watching documentaries on archeoastronomy, some unsolved mysteries, conspiracy theories and other historical events, Songs collection (mostly hindi), Watching movies(i am a big movie buff - both hindi and english), Following various sports events(specially cricket and soccer) are areas of my interest. Used to play guitar(just learned for a few months) a few years back(not any more).
