Its good that u don't drink and still appreciate music on this thread... some people just took this thread to let everyone know that they don't drink... and talked nothing bout music so far...This thread is basically bout music... talk nething bout music... with drink or without drink... doesn't matter...

    cheers!!

I also like Flamenco - really classic Spanish flamenco.

Yes a very common answer, its good as well as funny to see people dance to bhangra when they are drunk. You should see the enthusiasm of men when they hear bhangra when they are drunk.........classic!

    LOL

just4kix it's not constipation but thats called aggression most of the rock bands show aggression and confession in performance too. If you see deeply then hard rock and metal is all about aggression and confession only they are not very much into romance and stuff.

This romance touch is there in soft rock

No doubt about that... Usually sardars don't smoke... But they drink like hell... N I've seen them go bonkers after drinks... They love to dance to bhangra and hip-hop tunes non-stop.... No one can match them... I've seen in parties that everyone becomes a mere spectator once a sardar/punjabi takes the center-stage... I always wonder... From where they get so much energy after gulping down so many pegs...

    ************************************************** ***

I forgot to mention one name... When I'm in real romantic or relaxing mood... I love to listen to Enrique... Hez right on top there with his sensual songs... Marc Anthony, Shakira, Beyonce everyone gel in that mood as well... I love to hear fergie and her band members in Black Eyed Peas as well...

Eagles "hotel california" just refuses to go down in my list... despite having heard that song thousand of times...

I like crazy musics that makes my mind go crazier. When I'm drunk I love to dance, so disco musics would fit just right for an answer.

    Default dancing n drinking.......fr the stupid ....

dancing when drunk is the same as driving when drunk !!
    both should be avoided !!

In the first place one should not drink to get drunk, stop when you have reached yure Known Limits The hard part is figuring out who is drunk and who is just stupid.....

I cant stand anyone getting drunk around me , even if it is a known person, they just talk rubbish , ask silly , hit on the girls and finally either throw up or get beaten up ...!!

PLs DONT DRINK regardless of the occasion, too much, Here in Goa , liquor flows freely at weddings and family functions and some ppl dont know when to stop, i personally know at least 5 Gents who have passed away due to alcohol consumption , and I think in the long run its better to avoid than to join the long list of drunkards ...!!

@ toolman67, its good to know that u r against getting drunk like a maniac, despite being from Goa... That place in India is notoriously known for getting high... & gaining bad repo for it in recent times- courtesy media... So, its pretty unusual for me to bump in someone with those good-thoughts especially who is from Goa... I appreciate it..

Being from Goa, I guess u must have some taste in music... We would love to hear about that too...

Default for Hard Core headbangers mussic selection

itmemad ,sorry if my post turned out to be against drinking instead of music .... Music soothes the savage beast is a well known phrase,
in my years I have been know to listen to every thing from ROck Jazz , blues , Rock n roll , but some of my fave head bangin tunz were the best that we got from the following artistes

wow whre do I start ...my all time gr8's ACDC ,who can forget tht driving lead Guitar of " cant stand still"..... "give it up" ..... "you shook me all night long" , "for those about to rock" ," shake yure foundations " and so many more ....
more ovr .. Scorpions, with tracks like " rock yu like a Hurricane and in fact all most all their albums,
Def leppard, INXS, Iron maiden ..." Quick or dead".." Man on the edge" , "wasted years" "no. of the beast" Phew
    Judas priest long soulful Flute....
    Simply red
    U2
I also like Gods of Guitar....
    Ever FRESH Eric clapton,
    Santana....
Joe Satriani with "slow n easy" ," until we say goodbye "

bb king , ELVIS , Nat King cole , tom Jones , Louis Armstrong , Duke ellington, and more Blues artistes, I actually have the original Collector items LP'S some of which are more than 50 years old

let me also tell you that I love listening to music frm kishore Kumar, Mmd Rafi, lata and Usha , Nustrat fateh ali Khan, etc as well as Konkani music by Lorna, alfred rose . music of , for and by the masses ...!!!

From time to time I do catch HipHop and be bop, but remixes and Trance put be totally off !!!
I love music and like to get into the intracies of the sound , recording studios , play back recordings , I have Demo recordings tapes made by Elvis in the recording studio , which are now PRICELESS !! ''

so U see music plays a very integral part of me , my records and tapes and now CDS occupied a major part of my baggage whenever I shifted base, all through my school college , flying school and later as as Airplane and chopper Pilot I always put on my Music through the Pa System, also i dont drive without music !!

after being grounded due to medical reasons I settled down in Goa as I am also a Goan & I have now been here for the past 12 years and have seen the continous slide downhill of the pristine Goa , for now i am still away frm the concrete Jungle , but sooner or later its gonna go .. . then I will shift to Meghalaya, where i studied In St Edmunds College ... . ..

personally, i like nothin more than the combination of whiskey (a cig in other hand) and james brown, sometimes Bob marley or even pink floyd.
depends upon time of day or situation.

have u ever listened to Bob marley's "redemption song" while lying lazily on ur roof-terrace looking at the bright stars in the night.
try it sometime......... enchanting whether there is a bottle of port-wine near u or not.

the presence of a dear one near u will add to the essence.
