Thumbs up Which music you prefer when you are drunk?

    Hey guys,

Which music rocks for u when u r drunk in a pub/lounge or when u visit a pub to give company to your drunk friends?

I love rock, hip-hop & other techno stuffs... In Mumbai, some pubs play bollywood remixes along with western songs... I like hearing them too...
    :walkman:

When I'm real high :2:, therez nothing like Trance...

I'll elaborate about my favorite artists & songs later... But that doesn't mean that u can't write something about ur choice of artists/albums/songs...

So all bevras(drunkards) - start the music :5:, take a bottoms-up :54: , bang ur head unk:, & puke ur thoughts  on this thread....

    cheers!!

if u read the 1st para of this thread carefully, u'll know non-drinkers can contribute to this thread as well... Just think bout the songs u really love to listen when u go to a pub with ur drunkard friends...

    Smile Music? Drinks? NICE!!!!!

Let me take a wild guess here... im the first female? ShadowCon... (he broke the news I wasn't last time ) Trance... I've never liked trance. I've always loved!!!!! drum & bass, and also trip-hop. Some good old classic rock like Led Zep. or The Doors... even something like Lynard Skynard, is great! I also like Flamenco - really classic Spanish flamenco.

Lol.. yeah U r the 1st female here... and seems a sensible 1 at that...
The Doors & Led Zeps always tops my list in classic rock too... Jim Morrison was awesome... RIP...

In 70-80's rock I simply adore dire straits... Huge fan of Mark Knopfler's guitar playing ability...

Can any1 have a throat as sweet as Kurt Cobain of Nirvana... Probably not... RIP again...

Metallica is GOD for me in heavy metal rock... Although I didn't like their last album St. Anger much... but they have returned with vengeance in their latest album "Death Magnetic" which released on 12th sept... Their old magic shining again...

I love Linkin-Park & Limp Bizkit for their songs in rap-rock genre...

I quit drinking a long time ago.

But, back in the days that I did, I would dance to anything, with anyone...I was so embarassing!

    Smile Music!

Led Zep. ROCKS!!!!! :stuart: I think Eric Clapton is excellent! He is very classic, and that's what I like best. I'm not into the new rock bands.Like for example, the last bands I really, really, really liked were Alice In Chains and Pearl Jam. Other than that... If I told you I knew the name of at least one 3 Doors Down song I would be lying. I know who they are... but I cannot name their music, at all. I'm sure if I hear it on the radio, I'd say I like this. I love classic rock. LZ, The Doors, Jimmi Hendrix, Steppenwolf, yep... Eric Clapton... The Moody Blues, the band Clapton was in before he went solo, Cream. Rush is great... and of course, how can I forget Pink Floyd.

There is only 1 thing I have to say about that... "Sultan of Swing"... That is probably... I must say on the top 3 songs i adore of all time.

Yeah...Pink Floyd... awesome... I love jamming sessions with 1 of my friend who knows how to play guitar and I know how to sing a bit... "Sultan of Swing" is almost always there along with "Knockin on heavens door" "sweet child of mine" (we forgot GNR too) , "Eye of the tiger" and many more...

@shadowcon, No offence mate. But somehow I could not take to Linkin Park much. Some of their numbers are good but most of the time it is all yelling and rapping. It sounds like a bad attack of constipation.

    Yo ,

I know , lot of yelling and stuff ...some people find it repulsive ....

But try and listen to their "Reanimation" ... its all of their yelling singles remixed into hip hop hustle non yelling ones..... Result:-Some of the best hip hop singles (my opinion)

You may not like it though ... you seem to be a classics guy(Like my dad )....Ben Hur ,Ten commandments , BeeGees (music and movies )

    Me! Drunk! Never!

I go from one extreme to the other, its either trance or rock and headbanging. This alone is a good enough reason to stop drinking.
