Thread: Pasta Shapes

Ive seen many different shapes and colors of pasta, why is pasta available in different shapes and colors?

I think it may have something to do with the type of sauce you may be cooking for the pasta!

Exactly. Pasta fall into many shapes - but the most popular types are sphaghetti shaped, macroni shaped, rotini (non hollow and edged), lasagne.

Some are meant with red sauce while some with white.

Yeah.. its basically that specific shape holds specific sauce.. (the sauce density)

Additionally it also may be related to time taken to cook / bake and eating habits of various cultures.

I have tried and tested that and the shape of the pasta and the sauce with it does make a difference.

I made pasta using the same sauce but different shaped pasta, the whole flavoring, and taste of eating was different.

Conclusion:.

Pasta = Love
