    Default French fries

I love french fries! I don't care if people say fast food is bad for our health.

I eat french fries only once a week though. So it wouldn't hurt so much.

Yeh they are yummy to eat, agree with the fat content, but it also depends on what your daily regime is what you eat during the week. Even once a week is not so bad as long as you have them in moderation.

Sometimes i do like the slightly thicker cut chips and sometimes the crinkle cut chips which taste good, with salt and ketchup!

Make french fries at home in soya or canola or safola oil.

Use a food processor to cut fries if you are too strained to do it manually. Fry and let the oil drain. Place fries on a thick tissue paper that will soak up extra oil.

Cut potatoes and rinse in COLD Water (couple of minutes)...
    Or
    Try McCain...

preferably use extra virgin olive oil to fry...

Yes ready made ones are good too, but when cooked they are a bit crunchy which is also nice, but if your someone who wants them to be soft then home made ones are the best!

Olive oil to fry them, they would taste disgusting!

I know for sure they don't use Olive Oil, it may be vegetable or sunflower oil!

Hmmmm... Haven't really cooked french fries that way.

    I prefer ready-cooked fries.

If fast food joint start using olive oil to fry frenchies they will go bankrupt soon.

@preeti_20, Some food processors such as Braun have an attachment to slice potatoes into fries. They do the job in seconds. However, the fries are not thin like McD.

That's right n that's the reason McD was hesitant switching to Trans FatFree oils from the Beefy (beef tallow) kind of stuff they used...

Yes too much salt can really be off putting and make the fries taste awful!

Luckily i haven't come across any place which has done that!

I have that "love/hate" relationship with fries--love to eat, hate the effects. When I hear fries, I automatically think of McDonald's and those are probably the worst. To feel less guilty, I try eating more "naturally made" fries when I'm in the mood for them.

I love the fries of Mc Donalds, they are so unresistably yummy!

I only buy frozen fries on the grocery store, rather than making them myself.

Yes McDonald fries are yummy and i can go on days eating them, but i once tried Burger King fries and they taste slightly better, as they are a bit crunchy and a bi thicker than the McDonald's fries.

I prefer Burger King to McDonalds any day. If there are these two joints near to each other - which they often are - I walk into BK.

BK makes the best whoppers and taste much better than the Mac Quarter Pounder or Big Mac. Fries are definitely better at BK. BK also has fried onion rings on the menu. In UK, BK has the "Bean Burger" which is a good choice for veggies and non-veggies alike.

    lots of choices out there.
But here i guess the Mac Frenchies are the best deal...
Or else do it yourself... but that's a different thing altogether.

Have u ever had Mac's over fried Tikki or fries ??
