You didn't taste the steamed ones did you? Cause when first tasting them many people do not like them
seriously don't remember, but most of my friends and cousions are mad about it, but not me,,,i don't feel like eating them![]()
maybe try making them at home, it maybe you will find them better, just trying ideas for your liking of momos!![]()
o man i just love.....i used to eat them from south ex. part 1
are there actually different types of momo's in the sense of the fillings, and sauces given with them!
Ive tasted both the veg and chicken ones. The veg being a filling of cabbage, shredded carrots and onions, and the chicken ones as minced chicken which is cooked in onions light cooked in oil!
The sauces i have had are the red chilli sauce!
yeah i love momos too.
i know some great places in delhi for momos...
These momos sound interesting. I'd love to try them
sometime if I visit North India.

@ amitkool21 - i wouldn't call the veg ones a waste of money, as they do taste different to the non veg ones, but still taste good, and for those who are vegetarian, they are good enough for them. And i dont really understand what exactly you mean by waste of money, if you dont want them then dont buy them!
@ Farce - if your not likely to come to North India for a while and you can get them where you are at the moment, try making them at home, it wont be the same, but you will get to know what they are like!
aaah common preeti atleast tht ways farcey wud come up north!!!!! to eat momo's.....lol!
well amitkool1....i agree with preeti tht veg momo';s r pretty nice....!!1 prolly u eat non veg but there r lot of Indians who love veg momo's.....! me being one.....
Momos r the tibetan variety of chinese wontons. the other forms are the sikkimese and north-eastern modifications. each form has its own distinct taste and flavours and differ in fillings and sauces, though the difference is very little.
in most places in India, we get the sikkimese variety.
i also searched for momos in mumbai but wont found newhere in the city nd when i finally lost all the hopes than one day i went to discovery restauraunt in andheri for dinner nd suddenly got surprised to c momos in there menu card for Rs.160(4Pcs.)...i know its too costly in comparison to delhi......but to make a try they r affordable(i guess).....
tried veg momo once ... liked it ...
Those who dare, try the momo in its pristine form; that is with boiled pork filling. The Chicken or Veg fillings were later modifications to make it acceptable to the general Indian public. Originally, momos were filled with minced pork where the fat (or bacon, whatever) balanced out the starkness of the steamed outer wrap. The red hot chilli sauce make it more delicious. Momos are fantastic if you have some contry rice beer (milky white and strong as the usual beer) to wash it down with it.![]()
