Default Best Sweets or what you like

Please post the sweets that you like most. I go weak in my motives on dieting when I see Bengali sweets. Chamcham is one my favourites - so is Ras Malai, Angoor Malai, Rosogulla, etc..

And hot Gajar Halwa with Ice-Cream is also irresistable.

Why "Milk Khova from TN"? Milk Khova is the same everywhere. It is not any region speciality.

It is a little different. There is the semi solid ones that
are in definite shapes like square, diamond etc.

what I am talking about is sort of amorphous mass of
    milk khova.

This is what I am talking about - Aavin Milk Khoa.

This is probably the best sweet in the whole universe.

I think my mom learnt this when we were in Mangalore
    for some time.

It is a very labor intensive process to make this. The recipe
    goes something like this.

3 or 4 very ripe bananas (Nenthram Pazham is the specific type of banana)
    a cup of sugar
    a cup of ghee.

Just put the bananas in a thick heavy pan and mash them.
add the sugar and ghee and keep stirring till it becomes
almost black, probably for 3-4 hours.

anybody who had the chance to taste the traditional sweets of bengal like mohan-bhog, pithey (so many varieties), chandrapuli, rosokadamba, payodhi etc. would know why bengal is the best place for sweets

I too love all bengali sweets - cham cham, champa kali, rasogulla etc., etc.

Among the South Indian sweets, I like:

    1. Dharwad pedha
    2. Belgaum kunda
    3. karadantu (dry fruit ball containing Cashew, Almond, dates, dry grapes)
    4. hesaru bele payasa (toor dal kheer)

Hmm, writing about these is mouth watering stuff. Can't wait to eat them.
