Thread: KFC outlet in Jaipur?

I had a chance to have KFC chicken bucket, while i was in chandigadh.
I still remember its taste, it was so crisp. YUM!!

Members from Jaipur, please advice:

Did you know that KFC that started out as Kentucky Fried Chicken, is not allowed to use the word Chicken in it's name?

that is because it use Genetically modified Chickens. The USFDA had penalized KFC for misleading consumers. google for the KFC controversy. very much hushed up, but not possible on internet.

No, they made it KFC because they didn't want 'Fried' in their name
which conveys an unhealthy impression.

I too have heard about the genetically modified chicken controversy and have never stepped into another KFC outlet ever again.

I had eaten KFC in Delhi. Then, on a trip to NYC, went to one of the outlets there and it was very very bad. They claim to use the original recipe but it is not true. They do taste different in different countries and I can vouch for that. It is because of this I believe, that while they may not use GM chicken in India, they definitely use it in US.

Apparently there is no outlet in Jaipur as of yet, but you never know there maybe one in the near future!

No offence , but you seem to have no idea what you are talking about

Genetic modification involves the insertion or deletion of genes. When genes are inserted, they usually come from a different species

More importantly it costs an arm and a leg to Genetically modify organisms + grow them ... if they genetically modified their chicken they ll be making huge losses

Talking of KFC, they have a new item, its called Boxmaster, and it looks yum!
Its pieces of chicken which is hot and spicy with a hash brown, fresh vegetables, mayonnaise, pepper and cheese. This is wrapped in a toasted tortilla.

Just look at the image and you will know what im talking about! I havent yet tasted it, but if any of you have do give feedback!
