yes.....kaju katri always comes ....with varakh n most of the sweets atleast tht we get here in ahmedabad ve varakh on it......!!!!

There are several supposedly vegetarian items that contain significant animal source.
Silver foils are made with the help of animal skin/fat layers.
In addition,
most icecreams use animal fat as the emulsifier.
almost all toothpastes contain animal bone dusts.
Several "Cold Creams" also contain animal fat.

Can not take the names owing to proffessional code. But I have personally seen the above facts.

Is this really true? I know it is bad for you, but never knew this if it is true!

They should stop using it anyway, i mean whats the point its only for decoration!

BTW...Last night i got couple of well packed kaju barfi but they all are decorated with silver varakh only.. So i decided not to eat.. But after strong struggle between my mind and my tongue i decided to peel a thick layer consisting of varakh and enjoyed my favourite

I'm a non-veggie... and nowadays many things are adulterated... its hard to resist temptations...

But any animal?? I'm into chicken, somewhat mutton and fish.. Nothing else.. So now i've to think twice

well anyone who is a veggie has to take care of all this things.......

its like u are not aware also....n i guess most of the ppl in India would nt know about this fact....
