    but now the mango's are not the type which has good taste for pulp, which ones would you suggest.
    The reason i asked is cause you said

    well here in ahmedabad we do get the pulped one too....in a tin!!!! ready to be used.....

    we usually store em ....... but thts always from mango type called 'KESAR'....

    best mango is banganapalli mango in andhra.

    Aashaka, I am also a big Banganapalli mango fan. I think it is
    mostly available in Andhra and TN. Check this link out, it's funny.

    I have had both, I like both, I think Alphonso is slightly sweeter
    but Banganapalli's texture and flavor is better. In the end it is
    mostly personal preference. Another great mango is malgoa
    from south TN.

    some varieties look alike. I too thought those looked a bit different.
    I googled it up from some website, maybe they posted the wrong
    picture, but Banganapalli looks similar to that.

    I must taste this Banganapalli mango. Unfortunately mango season is short and canned stuff is never a yardstick of measurement.

    we will cook a young goat just for you and country chicken
    and banganapalli mango. next year, now season is over.
