The problem is that the world is becoming over populated and land is being swallowed up for development. If something is not done (like GM foods) then there is going to be a shortage of food to feed everyone, even worse then it is now.

Some foods can be genetically modified to be healthier and more appealing to children too.

What I am trying to say is that it is inevitable that one day GM food will become the norm.

I concur with bubble. Even I would rather have organic foods as much as possible instead or inorganic foods. But why don't you try imagine our world as of now without geneticaly modified foods. There would probably have many uprising because of the lack of supply of foods.

Its true that Indian's have been sold a low grade items under pretext of highly standardised companies. Nestle was also accused of selling GM food only in India & considering the fact that thier primary product is baby food, is quite disturbing. Other countries ban use of such materials in food products.

I agree with you that GM foods have potential threats & should not be commercialised rather organic farming facilities must be made more affordable to farmers by the goverment because presonaly I don't believe they would rather spend good amount on developing biotechnology.

Although being of scientific background I would not rule out, GM food taking over after few years when biotechnology would be more advanced & potential hazards of these foods would be taken care of along with increased production.

our cattle is roaming in streets and making them dirty.. govt must plan some manure houses where dung could be stored and that could be given to farmers.. more and more dung should be acquired..
