Ford Figo was introduced in September, 2009 at New Delhi. The small car is being mass produced at the Ford's plant near Chennai with high quality automation and innovative, ecological friendly production processes. Its size is optimal for the over congested city traffic conditions.
Figo literally means "cool" in the Italian, and has a typical ford design. Figo comes with an aggressive and distinctive look with the air dam right below the frontal grille. The overall shape of Figo is rather fresh and contemporary shape that conveys a spirit of dynamic energy in motion. Figo also features a large interior with a vibrant, youthful character. The side window is designed with a blacked out B-pillar and the wheels are positioned with minimal overhang. The luxury small car has a very funky and colorful interior which showcases a completely new instrument panel, seats and trim which combines aesthetics with functionality. The car is available in shades named Diamond white, Panther black, Moondust silver, Chill, Sea grey, Squeeze and Colorad red.
The engine of the car in the Petrol version is 1196cc DuraTec Petrol with 70 Bhp and the Deisel equivalent has a 1399cc DuraTorq Diesel with 68 Bhp. In Indian market, Ford Figo has 8 variants. Petrol versions of the care are Ford Figo LXi, EXi, ZXi and Titanium. The diesel versions of the car are Ford Figo Diesel LXi, EXi, ZXi and Titanium. Extra features available include remote central locking, driver seat height adjustment, Bluetooth phone interface, ABS, EBD and Dual SRS Airbags.
