Thread: Happy Diwali all + some good news for me!!

hey all, just cudnt resist taking time-out from my time-out to post here ,

Airtel has made it to my apartments!! I'm booking the connection today itself, Rs 649 UL 256kbps, with non rental landline!

Way cheaper than reliance wimax ... Installation only 500+300, of which they'll give back 600 to me in the subsequent 3 month bill.

Just hoping it wud work out for me, giving reliance a call now to disconnect their overpriced sh**!

And also wishing all folks here a

Safe n Happy Diwali!!!!

I know its a tad early, but hey i've already put on my lights

And also, plz give some thought to the environment too before going out and burning up a tonne of fireworks.

Thanx itsmed, sb21pro n padma, ya i'l provide the feedback... hopin it'l be good, i've seen many airtels working quite well... only a few seem to have major problems with it here (unlike reliance), so hopin for the best....

n i've decided to go in for some low intensity fireworks only... sayin no to them is out of the question sadly (cause of the family )

:lol:... just saw a report on a news channel that this time fireworks are 35-45% costlier than before! i think thats a good news for all but the kids?
there wud definitely be lesser pollution, but will have to see if there's gonna be a noticeable difference or not...

Rs 649 UL 256kbps?? You sure. I don't see this plan anywhere in the Airtel broadband (Maharashtra & Goa) circle. Please clarify.

Ya i'm sure the plan's rs649 256kbps UL. they r giving 384kbps UL for 999rs.. i too thot that the plan's unreal! hehe...

Just talked about them with the guard too to make sure they r not fakes, he said they're genuine, have taken permission from the RWA before going door to door .

First of all HAPPY DIWALI to all of you and your family members.

@Ichaitanya: Even here in Chandigarh I found a similar plan, but they were charging me 799 UL 256kbps....rest remains the same 500+300, and 200 for 3 months will be discounted from your bill.

Additional thing is they were offering a landline connection + 100 pulse free every month (Ofcourse you have to pay for the handset)

Yes they are also giving me 100 free pulses a month... they'll b installing my connection on the 31...

Oh! that mean they are charging here more or it could be the agent who is telling me high price

The website also lists the package price to be 799. U r not being overcharged manish, its me (in fact the whole of my society) that are being undercharged, since they wanna get many new customers here...already they got so swamped with installations that they had to shift mine to 31st...

Ya, that's what I was wondering. In the site, it's mentioned 799 for 256k UL.

i am using Tata Wimax and most of the times at nite i also get the same speed you can say on an average i always get more than 350kbps at nite
