J4X I don't think it's because people don't know where to look. I think it's because of the laziness to search. Even I don't like reading guides or manuals unless I have no other way. But I don't mind searching if I can find it though.
Well. Not to put a fine point on it, not looking for reasons why people are doing search or reading guides. Just typing the reply is a pain.
I think auto reply idea is bit rude and it may irritate new members, i have a saved template for the same reply with the link to Broadband How to section
apart from that there are lot many cases where we need to reply manually to explain the situation and to get some more details about the issues to identify problem so if we go for this auto reply thing then will not be able to probe properly and we may loose some new members coz the first impression they will get will be...
ohhh god thats an auto reply
I am not going off topic but, I was thinking that the BSNL broadband section is a little crowded with all the sticky threads and all. I mean the titles are a bit confusing. Like "how to configure Modem xxxxx and all". The first thing every one will search is a guide for the modem they are using right. Also I think the search option of the forum to be a little complicated or inconvenient for newbies.

i am in for this idea of adding broadband how to section in sign![]()
But as we all know J4K's input in every section, therefore his post can be found anywhere. Moreover he crossed 4k mark.
He exists everywhere![]()
