Hmm. A lot of posts but a few are rather shy of sharing personal memories. Well, I don't think that anyone wants to pry into personal memories for someone else. I promised mine. So here they are:
- I had always been a bright student but I want not expected to top. I topped Std. X at my school and scored 121/150 in English to boot.
- Acted as an extra in the movie "Gandhi" by Sir Richard Attenborough (the scenes in South Africa where Gandhiji burns the i-card/passes issued to non-whites). Had the honour of shaking hands with him. Amrish Puri was not very well known in those days and I had a good chat with him also. Very down to earth person.
- Driving T-72 and Vijayanta tanks.
- First trip abroad to Germany.
- Birth of my son and the day he took his first steps.
- Taking possession of my first flat/apartment.

The most memorable moment of my life is the day when I got the offer letter for the job.
I graduated in May 2005. After that I attended all the campus interviews, interviews in all the top IT companies. Almost more than 50 companies. In all the interviews I cleared the aptitude test & the technical interview.but failed to clear the last round (HR round). I was totally broken & I dint want to live.I dint want to attend any more interviews.
Then one morning (24th Jan 2006, Tuesday), my fiend called me saying there's a campus interview in our college.Computer Science Corp (CSC India) had come to campus placement.I told my friend that I wasn't interested & kept the phone.
My father told me to attend the interview. He told me try for one last time.
Then I attended the campus interview.Gave the aptitude test. Out of 9000, 92 were selected for the tech interview & I was one among them.
Next day (25th Jan 2006, Wednesday) I attended the tech interview & cleared it. The HR round was on 27th Jan as 26th Jan was a holiday.
Then on 27th Jan 2006,Friday..I attended the HR round. It went well & at the end of the interview.I was handed over the offer letter.I could believe it. I was in tears. I was crying very badly. I was speaking to myself " Dad/Mom, I have done it."
I came home, showed the offer letter to my parents. They were very happy. This is what I wanted to see...To see my parents happy...That day was the most happiest day in my life.
Every child wants to see their parents happy.what other better job have they (son/daughter) got other than make/see their parents happy....

That was suppose to be a joke. I never had any such luck.
@Evander, My brother-in-law was a Major in the Army in the Armoured Corps. Hence I was able to drive a tank. Did not drive for long - just a KM or less. The experience was different - there are joysticks that control the two tracks; each are independently controlled. To turn the tank in one direction, brakes are applied to one opposite track.
I was an extra in the movie Gandhi. The entire South African sequences (about 15~20 mins in the beginning) were shot at Pune. A lot of it was shot in my college - Fergusson College, Pune. I was a hostelite student at that time and we were requested to act as extra in the crowd shots. We did not have to do much - just stand in the blazing May sun for hours together. It was quite boring really and me and my other friends cannot be spotted anywhere. I do not have the DVD but once I taped it and pause the scene where I was supposed to be there - could not spot myself with any accuracy. But we got paid handsomely - Rs. 15 plus Lunch per day - which was a handsome sum in those days.
