Its unfair, I know. Glamour always pays. The police/military work is not as famous/glamorous as the job of a sports-person. But on a diff note, giving the olympic medalist that kind of money may finally be a step towards acclaiming sports other than cricket. So, everything has a positive and negative side.
But still, I get ur point. And it hurts.

Today only in the morning I got this in an SMS..such a shame on our country..

I heard that petrol pumps are being alloted to the slain soldiers... I hope its true!

yes they are alloting petrol punps and the amount is 25 lakhs but how can you compare a life with money, those brave people sacrificed for mother land, do you think they took bullet in chest for money.. no it was love and devotion.

Gove announced 25 lakhs and a petrol pump and there are few NGO's which are coming forward for help.

I didn;t know abt the petrol pumps..

yes they are doing something but i think it will take long time. Still its a good step for family members of victims

i do not believe they got petrol pumps. its easy to donate 20 lakh rupees. petrol pump is not exactly the same, they dont grow on trees either.
its probably another hoax.

FYI, Indian govt. alloted a petrol pump to each of the soldier's family who died in Kargil war...
