i find those icons useful in checking post![]()
even i ve been finidng this problem now.....
Sometimes, there are posts that go in the mod que. Other members are not able to see such posts and when you have read them, you rightfully think that the thread should be marked as 'Read'.
After than if admin/mods, OK the moderated posts, then the thread is marked as 'new' again.
But a VB/mySQL error cannot be ruled out. Certainly, in the post of 'congratulations to Preeti', there is very little chance of moderated posts.

But you confirmed that there is no post in Mod Que??
That I did, when someone asked if there were posts in mod queue. I may have approved some posts earlier.
But I do not seem to remember any moded post in Preeti's congratulatory thread.

For me, this has happened to many threads.
Example:
2009-01-17_095743.gif
It says last post is on 17-01-2009 02:58 AM by Preeti_20. But in the thread it's by smoothvibes on 06-12-2008 10:44 AM
Yes i saw preeti's post in last night in index page she wrote something like that "'i like all kind of song but it depends on mode and situation" i agree with her but when i tried to reply suddenly i found that preeti's last post is not present in that thread![]()
So it may have gone to Moderator queue.
hey archer..
have i said anything wrong in http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tallation.html (Frequency of your OS installation.) thread..
you have blocked my posts..
:36:
No I didn't block your post and you didn't say anything wrong.
I simply suggested to continue the discussion in this thread. :001_smile:
Because the other thread is for discussing Frequency of your OS installation (Frequency of your OS installation.). Right ? So the site Admin may not notice it if you discuss the problem there. :001_smile:
I apologise if I offended you.

Its OK to bring me here.. I generally didnt go anywhere else then BSNL section so i would not have found this thread.
Anyway my post for Frequency of your OS installation (Frequency of your OS installation.) is blocked.. but No problem i will never post in that thread...
Do you have any idea why this kind of MAGICS are happening.........
I have no idea why this is happening. Still waiting to hear from Admin.
OK lets wait to hear from Admin.
If it is a trick (javascript etc) then it is very useful, coz you need to post only one post per day in your thread and this trick will ensure that your thread will be displayed in the top list within BSNL broadband.
No, it's probably some bug/glitch. For that there is a feature called Stick Thread.
What are sticky threads?
'Sticky' threads are created by moderators or administrators (?), and remain 'stuck' to the top of the listing, even if they haven't had any posts recently. Their purpose is to keep important information visible and accessible at all times.
Another thread with same problem.

You can see that even though the thread http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tallation.html (Frequency of your OS installation.) is not Sticky but it automatically goes to the TOP (without any new post), while this thing is not happening with other threads, thats why i am calling it as a MAGIC thread.
If this thing would have happened to other threads in BSNL broadband list also then i would have acceped the argument of any BUG in the system, but this thing happens with http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tallation.html (Frequency of your OS installation.) thread onlyIt aint no magic ( unless the Admin is P.C.Sarkar ) , its just a bug that keeps on irritating us from time to time..
And its still happening......
So the only thing I can say about it is
THIS IS PURE MAGIC.

Sorry guys I missed this thread... I am looking into this.
-----
I have closed the poll at http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tallation.html (Frequency of your OS installation.) for the time being as that might have been causing this issue... may be when people poll the last post time status changes but the system still takes the last poster as last poster and displays that user name under the last post... where as picks the time from the last vote from the poll in the thread hence the time mismatch...
This is just my theory... will have to wait and watch
Please shout again if you see this issue occuring again.
Thanks
DM111PUSP
None of your posts are blocked its just that a couple of them might have gone into moderation automatically and that happens to all of us not just you. Please send me a PM if you come across any problems in future and I will be happy to look into it for you.
----------------
Some members reported the issue related to highlighting of even those threads which have already been read...
There is only one possibility:
You go to a sub forum you click on the threrad link and read it so it should not com up highlighted any more which is whats happening...
Now what most of us tend to do is hit the back button and come back to where you began from and still find the same thread highlighted... well thats the previous page you were reading and has not been fetched from the server and was saved localy on your computer..
Re load the page and the problem will be gone... So instead of hitting the back button try clicking on the sub forum's link near the title of the thread.
If anyone is still facing this read thread highlighting problem please shout![]()
