Default Childhood, is really best part of the life?

According to the old people (adult like us) childhood is the happiest period of life. Most of the people love to recollect those memories with nostalgia, like they try to remember the happy days, jolly games, the rambles in the country, the fun they had at the school and so many. They tend to forget the memories of many unpleasant things like going to school regularly and punctually that is abhorred by a child. Thus child trouble may be insignificant in the eyes of an adult but it is formidable to a child. So child’s troubles may be small to grown up people but they are very big to him/her.
Then, what are you thinking about it? Is really childhood is best part of life?
Any special childhood memory which you will never forget in life you can share with us?

School days were the best.As you said, the school routine sucked then.
One day I'll never forget is the day I topped my school in the board exams. And it was against all odds & after trememdous amount of hard work.
That has been the happiest day of my life so far.

Speak for yourself. I am still a child (at heart).

OK. Seriously. As a human, we do not know the future. We are again not content with the present. And so we can only look back at the past and say "Kya din the woh?". As a child, you may not have enjoyed at all - too many scoldings, too many instructions, don't do this, don't do that. Relax mom/pop. Take a chill pill.

But yes. Childhood days are probably the best.

I never think in that way.The best part of the life is which i still don't think the time has come to say that, but may be if we think primarily then it's obviously childhood is the best but when I was child i never realize that time. I thought when i will be adult i shall get more freedom then i shall take my decision own i can do what i wish because like other parents my parents also guided me in that period. But today i feel may be no body is dictating me like childhood or nobody compel me physically to do anything but still how i became a slave of the system.
Sometimes i think we are trying to be more intelligent so we give enough priority to our carrier, professionalism, future plan etc and we all know that very well no pain no gain so we have to sacrifice our mental desire and real happiness for that.At last when we get a little time & money then we try to find enjoyment from the night club, parties, etc may be it can help us to forget the deficiency of real happiness but it will never the substitute of that.May be child are foolish because they don't bother about future but i feel they are the wise or otherwise at least they know what is the real necessity of life.Perhaps that the mystery behind the best part of the life.

    All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players :
    They have their exit and entrances ;
and one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being a seven ages.

William Shakespeare, (The Seven ages of Man)

In that age, you have no tension, nothing to worry.
your parents would provide you everything and you have lot of fun

When you enter teenage, resposibilities increase and you start to think about your future.
    This is where fun ends
wow, you must have been a very precocious teenager.
I think I reached the responsible stage much later ;-)

The best part of childhood is that you can get away with a lot of things...

This teacher in school had a grudge with me for some reason and always used to mock me in some way.Well I got back at her one day

@ aashaka_gandhi - I mean I didn't do any thing personal.Just that my actions made her realise how wrong she was about me.
I became the most famous guy in school...for the right reasons !

I also quite agree with Ramesh because may be if i think logically then may be i consider childhood is the best because no responsibility, tension but when i passed that phase i always think when i will be adult enough i want to take the responsibility and want to get the freedom so i also feel if any life stage you belong it has some happiness and sorrowfulness and that's make the complete life.

During the childhood, did anyone realize that it their best part of their life...
I am sure most of them would have not....
Its only during school, college or work phase you would have realized that this is the best part in my life....

What I am trying to say is that, its important that you realize....

Actually, whatever phase of life we are in, we always think that it sucks. And always look at older people and envy them for one thing or other. and yearn to reach that age.
Then when we grow older, and look back, we realise that it was actually quite a wonderful period.
Thats the eternal story of life.

Tell me how many of you still think that you are still a child?

I am first one to declare.
